Our favorite casa in Cuba! We spent about 4 nights here in March 2009 (extending our visit after the first 2 nights).

The house is owned by a mother and son. Off the back courtyard there is one lovely high-ceilinged colonial guest room with a double and a single bed. (fan, no fridge – but am sure you can keep things in their fridge). The son is responsible for the guests and he does his utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible!! He speaks passable English.

You take your meals on the covered terrace off the courtyard – excellent breakfasts and if you choose he will cook you the standard Cuban fare with a bit more imagination than you find in most other casas. (but like most places, do not bother with the pork). He does not serve cocktails, but did have some red wine.

We really enjoyed Trinidad – lovely town with a few nice sites. Although it is a little touristy it is nonetheless fabulous to sit on the terrace on the stairs in the center of town...
