This casa particular is located in historical centre of Trinidad with comfortable, spacious and clean room, air conditioning and hot water. It was the best and the quiet place we stayed in the whole holiday (14 days spent in Cuba).
A nice family, kindly and very hospitable. We felt like family members there. Despite of senora Mercedes doesn't speak english and we spoke little spanish we still managed to have fantastic evenings chatting. We've learned a lot of spanish words, because she was a teacher.
The food was fantastic, we have eaten the best food from our journey in Cuba. You could take your breakfast and dinner in a quiet and beautiful backyard or you could enjoy your coffe on the terrace situated on top roof.
Senora Mercedes it's a great host and she help us with accomodations for the next places we visited in Cuba. I consider her "my mother" from Cuba.
We recommend with warmth this house !
Thank you for the unforgettable moments spent in your house in Trinidad!

If you don't meet before you'll arrive in Trinidad "jineteros", here you'll see a lot. Don't trust them go to your destination, they will say that his/her mother is Mercedes.

We were met at the bus by Senor Mercedes as arranged and he took us a short walk to their centrally located Casa. The room was one of the best we stayed in in the whole of Cuba, large, spacious, clean and had a fridge and air con. The 3 nights we were there we were waited on by her daughter and her husband who cooked lovely dinners for us, asking us each day what we would like for the next day. Breakfast there was so much food we saved a ham sandwich for our lunch each day. We do not speak fluent spanish but were able to communicate with the whole family as we knew enough words to get by. They are a delightful family and most helpful and informative and booked our next place for us. We enjoyed Trinidad very much and in part was because our accommodation was so good. We would recommend this as somewhere we would stay again.

Stayed only for 1 night. The house was well with everything you would hope for and plus the host was so nice. I felt grateful we were transferred to this hostel. Close to everything! Highly recommended!! We stayed at quite a few accommodations in Cuba, and this was the only one that I felt I was sincerely welcomed!
這個家的主人是個很棒的老媽媽,一直都笑笑的,也不會強迫推銷,讓人感覺很親近,非常推薦這家住宿,離主要景點都很近!

We stayed with Mercedes for a few days in June. The room was comfortable, quiet and the two garden areas, one downstairs and the other on the roof were pleasant places to eat and read. Mercedes is a great cook. She made us some of the best meals we had in Cuba. But even more memorable was how interesting she is. Even though our Spanish is poor, she patiently told us about her life as a school teacher shortly after the revolution. She also helped us rent bikes and get around. There were hugs all around when we left. She is a sweet woman whose guests come year after year. We absoulutely recommend staying here.

We were fortunate to have been referred to Hostal Mercedes by her son-in-law, Ramon Amaro, who was unable to accommodate the four of us for 3 days of our 6 day stay in Trinidad de Cuba.
Hostal Mercedes is located right next door to Casa Amaro y Yamira :-) VERY convenient for travelers who may need more than 2 rooms!

Sra Mercedes is lovely, welcoming, and extremely accommodating. As a family of four adults, we enjoyed 2 rooms - A sunny and cheery room with a double bed at the street side of the casa; the other, a more quiet room with 2 single beds at the rear side of a lovely patio where breakfasts and dinners were served. Each room had a bathroom with shower, soap, and towels, hair-drying, air-conditioning, and fans. Each room also has a mini fridge with water, beer, and sodas - very convenient and economical, as we did not need to search out stores to purchase these items. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotless!
There was a cozy upstairs patio with a double sized swing-seat where drinks or quiet reading time could be enjoyed.
Breakfasts were plentiful with eggs, bread, crepes, coffee/tea, cheese, and fruit - lovingly and beautifully presented. Delicious!
We enjoyed two dinners - one of them Christmas Day evening - both of which were excellent, nutritious, and scrumptious! Pictures attached.
Sra Mercedes has an easy going manner that exudes warmth and interest in the people who stay with her. She was helpful with information and enjoyed hearing about our days.
We can highly recommend this lovely casa - and encourage tourists to get to know these welcoming, hard-working, and forward-thinking Cubans!
Thank you so very much for our lovely stay at your home, Sra. Mercedes!

We had a fantastic stay at Mercedes’ casa. She is a very kind and welcoming host and the room and en suite bathroom were spotlessly clean. I recommend this as an excellent place to stay and it is conviniently situated in the heart of Trinidad town so very easy to walk to and from the centre.

I have stayed many times at Mercedes and she is so accommodating every time I come. I consider her family!!
She makes sure everything is ready when you arrive and takes time to visit throughout your stay to see if everything is going well.
The food is excellent, rooms are very well kept and the location is perfect for everything you will want to do while in Trinidad.
I will definitely stay again!!!

We stayed here for 1 night when we arrived a day early for the casa next door. This place is perfectly clean and the room was really conformable. Breakfast was delicious, and Mercedes was very friendly and a great cook. Would recommend to anyone.

We were so fortunate to visit the real Cuba, which included two nights in Trinidad! Our local Cuban friend who was assisting with our trip, found this lovely B&B, and I'm in love with it. I connected instantly to Mercedes (former schoolteacher), as she is such a kind and loving lady who is very considerate and cares about you genuinely. I was travelling with my cousin and aunt; all from international destinations/continents; and we booked both rooms, with adjoining bathrooms. The home was super convenient, clean, welcoming, and felt like home. The air conditioning, amenities and necessities were definitely available. Only a two minute walk from the main square and a large variety of restaurants and shops, this is the accommodations that should suit your needs. Mercedes cares very much about you as an individual, and I shared a lot about Canada and Canadian living while I was with her for the short time, and she was very gracious. We were welcomed as family, and she ensured even our friend who was a local/national, was looked after and arranged accommodations for him. We ate breakfast at La Casa, and the meals were very tasty and abundant. The coffee in Cuba is very good, and we never hesitated to enjoy multiple pots and took our time leisurely savouring the eggs and fruits, and hands down, the best sweet butter crepes I had, ever (and I'm a foodie). I was inquiring about diving and immediately Mercedes, dive guy Peter, showed up and arranged a lovely dive day for me the next day with Mandy, the best dive master ever (took lovely pictures and videos of me, and shared them without expectations, proactively)! Mercedes woke up and cooked me a breakfast for my dive day, exactly as I asked (just two eggs, coffee, some fruit) to ensure I felt comfortable and not feed the fishes on my dive. Cooked breakfast to order at different times for my family as well. I would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting Trinidad that they go and stay with Mercedes and her husband, as you won't be disappointed. You know where I'll be when I'm back the next time!! There's so much to see and do, especially with the National Parks - the "mountain, waterfall hike" and the sights and sounds in town; it's such a cultural immersion and experience, everyone should enjoy. I'll miss my new found Grandmother/ Abuela for now, and wish her much prosperity and kind hearted guests and travellers in the upcoming time. Hopefully I'll be able to visit again soon with my family.

"The room behind the patio is quieter, however, the street-side room has shutters to filter the street noise and light. However, in general, local Cubans love to party (not us!) with loud music and late nights. This is something that hosts at casa particulares cannot change."
