We spent one day at the hotel using the pool and drinking Cava and one evening for dinner. The place is immaculate and in a beautiful setting. The staff very fantastic, very helpful, attentive and professional. We were well cared for. Fanny at the front desk was able to help us on many areas including finding key transportation. Would recommend the place to any who visit Trinidad.

The minute you arrive this service is excellent. The attention that everyone is there for whatever you need. The restaurant at the hotel is amazing. Everyone of the staff are wonderful. Was here on two different vacation and stayed There over two weeks on both visits at this hotel. The housekeeping is amazing how they keep everything nice and clean. The sunsets are out of this world how wonderful. It is really a beautiful place to relax by the pool. The executive chef at the restaurant brings his experience to this hotel and you will experience a wonderful experience eating there. Everyone at the front desk are very helpful from the minute you arrive . Everyone is so helpful and very professional. I recommend this place for me it is a magical place to just relax and experience my stay in Trinidad.…

The hotel is very comfortable, cozy and wonderful. Its staff is excellent, all the workers attend you with a beautiful smile and are very attentive. I loved the room. But best of all are the spectacular views of the hotel and its magnificent terrace.

This hotel is a very beautiful place in Trinidad. I would recommend it without a doubt. There you can feel yourself like at home. The staff and the location is perfect! In the heart of the city, what a charm. The nicest of the people work there. I will definitely come back again with the whole family.

We stayed here for 3 nights Feb 2023. Its just a very short somewhat downhill walk into the heart of town but is an oasis of calm and tranqulity. We both though the website and online pics don't do justice to this hotel which is properly 5 star. The pool area is just lovely and our room looking out to the old town was wonderful. The staff, and particularly the manager, were very warm and genuine. I was under the weather and on an unexpected weight loss programme for the 3 day stay having ill-advisedly eaten interesting roadside food en route from Havana! - she was extremely kind and concerned which made us feel very supported in a faraway country. We did manage to hire bikes and cycle to the beach - really really recommend doing that and the hotel can help. Trinidad music scene is lively - expect town music to blast out some nights 'til 2am at the earliest - but hey thats why we went! See others have commented on hotel food -its just hard for Cubans to source a wide variety - the hotel does as well as it reasonably can and better than most.…

I recently stayed at La Popa for 36 nights. When you stay somewhere that long you learn all that is good and bad about a hotel. There was very little bad and with a quick mention to the staff any concerns were immediately addressed. Now on to the good. I stayed in a Superior Deluxe room with a huge covered terrace overlooking the city. The view is magnificent with the sun setting over the ocean in the distance each night. The room was large and well appointed. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and always there to help. Unfortunately the Cuban people are experiencing a lot of electrical blackouts but that is not a concern for hotel guests. There is an excellent backup power system. There is a very large covered terrace beside the pool that is a great place to enjoy time with friends. The pool is very nice with many gardens and lounges around. The restaurant food and service were very good. I go to Trinidad a lot and I am definitely looking forward to enjoying the comforts of La Popa again.…

Beautiful property the lobby was espectacular the service was out of this world, the food was some of the best I tried in Cuba,the rooms where well decorated good mattress and sheets and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I don't think there is a better view of the city anywhere else. I wil definitely be back hopefully soon
