The hotel looks great from the pictures but that's about it. It's grimy and dirty and the bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The sheets are like paper and the walls are very thin. I booked this hotel based on pictures and price but next time I will spend more to get a nicer hotel.

It was a very nice experience. I very much enjoyed being able to pick a room location away from the elevators. Light sleeper. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. It is a great location stayed in area before.

Had a quick work trip and booked one night at the Liaison through Hotel Tonight; I was excited by the location (right in front of the Capitol) and also the pictures. The staff was very nice on check-in...but as for the building? There were a few issues... Two of the six elevators were completely broken and had no signage communicating...

Great location. Good setting. Clean. Fairly quiet. Internet problems for the second night. The fitness center was fine. Staff were friendly. I've eaten at the restaurant before on other trips and enjoy the food an ambiance.

Arrived at 1pm. Room not ready, which is no big deal. Checked bags, left for afternoon front desk staff having promised that they would text when room is ready. At about , because there had been no call, text, or email, I phoned just to make sure that a room would be available. It took a while, but they did...

My first visit to Washington DC-stayed here and was not disappointed.Great location-walking distance to the Capital and the other Washington landmarks and museums-these are the things I came to see. Staff was great-had bought a bottle of wine at a store near the hotel-later in my room realized I had no bottle cork opener-the bar employee opened it for me...

The company I work for pays for 12 rooms at each hotel they put their employees in. When I found out that the hotel sold the room the company paid for I was upset because that means they're being paid double for one room. To make matters worse the hotel rep was very unprofessional. I was given a room but...

I traveled with a friend and will say that this is not the neighborhood I would have normally preferred when visiting DC, but my friend had a really early train leaving Union Station and wanted to be not too far from it. I've stayed at other Joie de Vivre hotels, particularly in San Francisco, and really liked them. The Liaison...
