We recently stayed at the St. Regis to see the cherry blossoms and chose it due to being an upscale, historic hotel. The lobby was an amazing place to sit and have a drink or two while enjoying the ambiance of the hotel. The rooms were the expected size for a hotel built in 1926 and I was impressed with the beautiful tiling in the bathroom and shower. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were quite regal. We really enjoyed the cherry blossom tea service on Easter Sunday as well! The only thing that confused me was that they are not offering their normal signature afternoon tea during Covid, yet offered the Cherry Blossom tea service and the lobby was still booked. Just would've preferred the classic version, but it was still amazing! I also want to shout out Stephane and Shimi of the lobby staff. I had an unusual request for each of them during our stay, and they went above and beyond to make it happen. They also offered 5 star service everytime we encountered them. Overall, it was a great place to stay in heart of DC and we will be back again! Thank you for everything!

Yes, it is a gorgeous hotel and yes the amenities are wonderful. What is over the top about the St Regis are the people. Sherif - in the lobby — amazing. Made of feel like family. Cannot wait to return.

We decided on a last minute trip to Philly and DC, and chose the St. Regis as we have always liked the brand, and thought they would make for a great stay. First the good - the hotel is located in the heart of DC, 2 blocks from the white house. The housekeeping staff person who was taking care of our room was amazing. She was professional and very personable, and helped make our stay pleasant. The Bad - hotel rooms are dated, and more unfortunate was the lack of follow through from hotel staff on a number of occasions where the staff said one thing and did something completely different. Additionally, we also ordered food from in-room dining and a number of items were delivered without any kind of cover. During normal times, this would be a good idea, but with a pandemic - it really should not be happening. The hotel has also reduced some of the services that typically come with the St. Regis (champagne sabering in the evenings, courtesy car service for local drop offs, etc.) due to COVID, which is understandable. Overall, the hotel itself is decent, but no where near the level of a St. Regis in terms of service. If you want a bed to sleep on, there are a lot more choices in the DC area where you could be better suited. If you want a higher level of service, The Ritz in Georgetown, the Park Hyatt, the Conrad, and a number of other hotels are probably a better options.

Room Tip: try to get something facing the street, and not the office building next door.

The St. Regis, Washington D.C. continues to provide excellent customer service, and attention to detail during these COVID-19 times. This is our second time since May 2020, and have seen a significant increase in amenities and additional support throughout the hotel. In addition to in-room dining, this time the bar was open from 3:00 - 10:00 pm for drinks and dinner, plus their amazing afternoon tea service is available Friday-Sunday from 03:00 - 05:00 pm. In regards to room type, their Metropolitan suite around 600 sq. ft. is comfortable and has a bathtub. When booking any room/suite, please look for their breakfast/valet parking package. It covers $60 in total for breakfast each day, and valet parking - a cost of $65 per day. Please note that if you are an Marriott Bonvoy elite member, you are going to get points instead (if you get this package. Also, if you don't decide to book this package, a $60 breakfast credit is provided as a Titanium/Ambassador elite member. Outside the bellmen, Jane in the St. Regis Bar, and housekeeping team that work really hard to meet guests' needs, I would like to highlight the work of Ayesha Nunez, Guest Service Agent. Every single day that we met her, she was always smiling and willing to extend a helping hand. She definitely went above and beyond in many ways and should be recognized for her efforts. We appreciated the special touches for such celebratory weekend, and those small details cultivate loyalty in the long run. I would highly recommend the St. Regis, Washington D.C. anytime, and would advise that you take advantage of their excellent afternoon tea service during the weekends. We will make sure to come back again soon!

The St. Regis Washington DC is home away from home while in the district. The hotel is always spotless, service exceptional and the property is well maintained and managed. As you come to expect from the brand, the service is unrivaled from the front desk, housekeeping, dining (bar and private dining), and valet. I feel lucky to have found such a gem. Thanks to the full team for always exceeding expectations!
