If you've ever wanted to visit the Clue gameboard, or spend the night in an Agatha Christie mystery, this is your place. With guitars. Lots and lots of guitars. And musical nuggets. Studio tapes of the Doors, Beatles and Bruce working out lyrics in real time. Fascinating. The rooms are kitschy and rambling, but the whole experience is really, really... More

The Mansion is a museum, an events space and a hotel. How does it stack up as a hotel ? Well if you are booking you know it is not a conventional hotel - rooms stuffed with curios, no restaurant or guest amenities. All that is fine and indeed welcomed. My problem with it was perhaps mainly with the room... More

Who wouldn't love a big old mansion full of secret doors? The house is filled, top to bottom with unusual collectibles and secret entrances. Everything is unique, down to the bathroom fixtures. The scavenger hunt was a lot of fun!

My wife loves scavenger hunt games, so why not take her on a real life hunt? Instead of Geo tracking in the heat, we went to this beautiful, history drenched palace for a few hours of fun. The place is 3 homes merged together for a total of 30,000 square feet. It has 4 floors and 70 hidden doors. Rosa... More

Took my deeply bereaved friend to a champagne tour that sounded like JUST THE THING. And....IT WAS!!!(Gotta love Living Social!!) We laughed hysterically and 'Oooohed and Aaahed' in every room, curving hallway and rickety stairway - enjoying (pricey, at $15.) seconds on champagne. An eBayer, I was LOVING eying all of the BRIC-A-BRAC crammed into EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY...AND ALL... More

A very interesting experience (but probably not for everyone): the place is a curiosity cabinet, every room (and every space) filled with collectibles, antiques, boot sale finds etc etc. The management is personal, very helpful, and enthusiastic. I will return!

Aphorisms are not always true, but in this case, "not all the glistens is gold" is true. The Mansion on O Street is loaded, packed would be a better word, with things. Not just pictures, furniture and meaningful artifacts, but also books, toys, dishes, glasses, vases, statues, lights, mirrors, appliances, and all other conceivable stuff. The initial impact is one... More

What can you say but WOW! 100 rooms with 60 passages, and collectables everywhere. I mean every inch and cranny. And all for sale. If you like guitars and Beatles memorabilia this is the place. They also do catered events as well and they will give you a tour. Amazing place.

My friend and I purchased the Groupon for a self-guided tour, which included a free glass of champagne. The hotel is so eclectic - it's incredible! And finding secret doors and passages is part of its charm. I would definitely suggest it if you're looking for something unique in DC!
