Our family of two adults and two children stayed here in mid-December 2018. We had room 1119, one of the two queen one-bedroom suites right at the front of the hotel, with a great view over the Navy Yard area and over to the Anacostia River. The location was great, just a

Stayed at Residence Inn Navy Yard for four days on business. While room had kitchenette, sitting area, and king bed, the room was cramped because everything was in a smaller footprint. Lots of construction going on in neighborhood, so do not count on being able to sleep in. I

brianwN4567GU, Thank you very much for your review. We do offer both studio suites as well as one-bedroom suites depending on your needs. We are very excited about all of the new restaurants, attractions, etc. in our neighborhood. Did you know that Forbs Magazine recently named our neighborhood, Navy Yard, in the top 15 "coolest neighborhoods" in America? We hope that you will consider us, and our cool neighborhood, again should you return to Washington, DC. Travel well, John Chisman, MBA General Manager

Wonderful hotel, new, clean and friendly staff. It’s nice to see Marriott updated their bathroom amenities with shampoos and soap that don’t smell like a retirement home. The only downside is the WiFi, very weak and slow in my room - 906. Overall, nice place...

I will be sure to look into your concerns of the Wi-fi as the hotel has upgraded speeds so I am sure this is just a one off issue. Thanks again. We look forward to your next visit. Thank you very much for reaching out. While the hotel does not have a shuttle to and from the airport, the hotel is located at the Navy Yard Metro stop. You can easily take the Metro from the airport to the hotel. The Metro is also an easy way to get around and see everything that Washington DC has to offer. We hope you enjoy your time with us. We look forward to your visit.

There's two elevator systems- one that takes you up to the second floor, and another for second floor and up. They are across the lobby from each other so anyone using the guest floors has to walk by the front desk (can't remember off-hand if you had to use a key for the second elevator). There is a staircase that is locked and gated in between the first and second floors. If you are going down the stairs from the upper levels you can do so with no issues- if you are trying to enter the stairs from the 1st floor (street level) you can only get about half a flight up (unless you have someone unlock it for you). It's annoying if you're actually trying to use the stairs, but secure in the fact that no one can even get to the lobby through the stairs.
