Stayed here over Labor Day weekend, since the hotel is in between both the Phillips Collection Museum and the National Art Gallery. This isn't your typical Courtyard hotel, which may be good or bad depending on your viewpoint. I'll list my Pros & Cons, and...More

The good news is that you won't waste your first night by not being able to see museums. Yes they do close at 5 but the monuments are open 24/7 and are breath taken at night. Eating at a fun restaurant for dinner place near the hotel may require a reservation. Old Ebbit Grill in a few blocks a away and it is the oldest restaurant in DC. Downtown DC is about 10 blocks from the Hotel and there are a ton of restaurants. DuPont Circle & 14th St have some nice restaurants within walking distance as well. For breakfast it depends on the type of breakfast place you are looking for. There are cafes in DuPont that are very nice. There are some places for a nice brunch in the area as well. The hotel even had a nice little menu for breakfast and they even offer a nice brunch. Your best bet is to ask the hotel staff they are very knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction.
