I spent several months at this hotel (both before and during renovation) and would definitely stay there again. The location is fantastic--in the heart of Dupont Circle, close to lots of fabulous restaurants, with easy access to the Metro. You can walk to Georgetown, the Kennedy Center, and some of the monuments. The staff is what really makes the hotel...

In revisiting the DC area, we booked a room here based on our previous experience. Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing a renovation which caused delays due to elevator closings, excessive dust throughout the entrance area, and even a march with luggage up the stairs. It was time to renovate as I indicated in my earlier review. However, this hit us...

... they have blown it on some details. In particular, the calking in the spanking new bathroom was obviously applied by someone who doesn't know how. And was allowed by someone who doesn't care. It won't be long before the dirt starts to show and the housekeepers will have no way to clean it. Oh well! Other than that, we...

I stayed here on business at the end of April 2013. I failed to notice on the Marriott website that the hotel lobby area (and more) is undergoing some serious renovation. In Marriott's defense, it was clearly stated on the hotel web page so I'm the one who missed it. The room was clean and neat kitchen/living area and separate...

My husband, 2 boys, and I stayed at the Residence Inn for 4 days during a Spring break trip to D.C., and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was undergoing a renovation, but it didn't disrupt our stay at all. We requested a renovated suite and were put in one on the 6th floor. The bed was comfortable, the finishings...

We arrived to be told by the friendly receptionist about ongoing refurbishment work. I said that I didn't know about it (correction: I could have known, as I later realised it was in the detail of the booking reminder email received a few days earlier - a specific email on the matter would have been appreciated).  We were offered to...

For many years, we traveled to D.C. on business and always stayed at the Residence Inn Dupont Circle for its great location, wonderful service, great breakfasts, and comfortable rooms. But it got even better when we took our granddaughters to D.C. for a week during their recent spring break, and we were lucky enough to get a room there during...

If you're looking for something with more facilities than a standard hotel room, this is the place to stay. They are undergoing renovations which can cause some inconveniences but we did not consider this serious. Breakfast is standard hot buffet but served in an adjoining restaurant until construction is complete. However, this did not affect the overall positive aspect. The...

Hotel was being remodled, but I believe my room had already been done. Very nice and clean with lots of space. Nice LCD TVs and everything looked new and fresh. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 adults and 2 kids (on a sofa in the living room). The hotel is well located in DC - 15 min. walk to Georgetown, 30 min. walk to White House and Lincoln Memorial, easy subway ride elsewhere. Cab to most places $10 - $15. The neighborhood is pleasant, with lots of eating...
