I booked Kimpton Monaco weeks ago for a conference in Washington DC. When I checked in at around 7pm on April 24th, 2017, they gave me this room 252 on the ground floor. I asked to get a room on another floor but was told they almost sold out tonight. When I opened the door, I found out that there...

Beautiful character-filled hotel in an amazing location: right across the street from the Portrait Gallery, next door to the Spy Museum and surrounded by tons of great dining options. The service is top-notch; every encounter we had with the staff was wonderful and made our stay outstanding. (My wife can't stop talking about how impressed she was, which, trust me,...

This hotel has been created in an old US post office, so it is laid out rather eccentrically, but we enjoyed that. Our room was located VERY far away, but if you weren't toting luggage, we learned a significant shortcut from one of the security guards. We had an upgraded room with a king size bed, so I can't comment...

The staff at Hotel Monaco make you feel important, pay attention to detail, and make sure you're enjoying your stay and your event. The hotel itself is very elegant -- I always enjoy staying here. I appreciate they allow small pets. The front desk folks are very accommodating. Three cheers for Christopher Parker!!!

I asked for a quiet room. Didn't get it. This is a fine hotel but impossible to get a good night's sleep here if you have a room facing the courtyard. The bar in the central courtyard has an outdoor area where the music blasts loudly until midnight. Don't go here if you want to get to sleep before then.

I'm not even sure where to start. I've traveled all over the world and stayed at many great hotels but this one may now top the list for worst accommodations ever. For this business trip I've had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms, a standard king and a Presidential Suite (which ironically was the farthest you could come...

The hotel is perfect combination of stylish and fun design, really great service, very good food at the restaurant, the restaurant has a great bar for cocktails and hanging out. The hotel is also close to some really great restaurants, all the museums and even has bikes available for all the guest.

Thank you for your great comment. We're glad you enjoyed Dirty Habit and our great location. Come back soon!

The Hotel Monaco - with its majestic hallways and in a superb location - needs a good cleaning. Floor mouldings show trapped dirt and dust, and the room had a musty smell - I'm guessing from dust atop the bathroom's fake ceiling (rooms have delightfully high ceilings, so the bathroom has a "fake" ceiling to provide privacy). Beds are very...

What drew me to the Kimpton Hotel Monaco was its fun and funky design and central location. Most notably, its striking green lobby. I'm a sucker for bright colors and fun design. Unfortunately, besides for the lobby and printed animal robes in our room, the hotel was rather mediocre. Upon arriving late Friday night, we were greeted by a raucous...

We chose Hotel Monaco to celebrate our anniversary. After checking in we dropped our luggage in our room, freshened up, and went to dinner. Before our History on Foot tour we returned to grab some jackets and found a plate of delicious brownies with fruit and a bottle of champagne with a lovely note from the front desk staff. Very...

Roadtrippin hello and thank you for your anniversary selection of the Monaco Washington DC. It's great to hear of our team placing a special treat in your room. But you are correct it is not our standard to have our evening music being enjoyed past 11pm on a weekend evening in our courtyard. Although we love the energy of Dirty...
