We stayed just one night here, but it was a great experience. My husband, who used to work on a luxury yacht that traveled all over (Caribbean, Mediterranean, The Atlantic) said that this was "real service" - which is high praise. The beds are like sleeping on clouds. I loved that you could not hear any noise coming from the... More

This hotel is situated in a Government Quarter, noone lives nearby so its very safe. 45 minutes walk from the white house and 10 minutes from the airport. Hotel service and staff is excellent . One point there is amain road, railway and airport near , so its a little noisy, but its a beautiful hotel

It's an OK 5* hotel, decor a little dated in the rooms - but good service. It's not a great location - overlooks Potomac but there is a rail line and a road between hotel and river. Convenient walk to Mall area (3 blocks), but nothing around the hotel at all, no shops no restaurants - just government offices.

I make frequent trips to DC and almost always stay at the Mandarin. It's like coming home. Very friendly staff. Rooms are great, and very unique. Located right near the Mall and the Smithsonian. Great place to stay.

The hotel is lovely and comfortable. It was a great hotel in the heart of DC for our conference. The staff while polite and efficient seem a little bit "stuffy". While I like efficiency they seem to be acting a part instead of being genuinely happy to serve. Overall my stay was very good.

Excellent customer service and a very classy peaceful atmosphere. The staff was very helpful to meet our needs and concierge extremely helpful to making our trip memorable. The food in the Muze restaurant was very good and getting around the city was easy from the hotel's location.

Room was not what was book. Overpriced and poor, very poor, customer service. Room was not ready until after 3pm. Special event in hotel prevent open access to hotel. Security staff very rude. Very disappointed for over $500 per night. Would not recommend. No response from management after email.

I have stayed twice at the Washington Mandarin Oriental and each time I was treated like royalty. Every staff person is focused on providing an exceptional customer experience. It is a beautiful hotel, impeccably clean and professionally run. And the location is great too! I highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel was very nicely done. Beautiful lobby area and view of the outside garden. Check in was fairly quick. Room had a partial river view - I am sure others had good views. Room was nicely furnished and large with a desk and sofa. Bathroom was very nice with a large marble countertop sink, stall shower and a soaking tub.... More

We spent this past weekend with sons and grandkids at the Mandrian Oriental in Washington DC and it was a total joy. The hotel is by a freeway but the road noise was never an issue. If you didn't look outside the window, one would think you were in a quite residential area. As a bonus you can see several... More
