As first time visitors to DC, this place provided everything we could possibly need. Conveniently located to all major sites in DC and not a long walk from the subway, it was very easy to find. The room was lovely, the food was great and Jonathan and his staff really made us feel at home.Definitely recommended!

I stay at AGH whenever I'm in DC for business, which is about 4-5 times per year. Johnathon and the staff always provide excellent service from check-in to check-out. Rooms are super clean, breakfast is custom-made, with lots of a la carte options, and the location is great. I will definitely stay at AGH again.

My husband and I traveled to the DC area for Thanksgiving and stayed 3 extra days to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. I found a GREAT coupon on trip advisor and based on other reviews decided this was an Inn that met all of our needs and wants. We really enjoyed our stay and even received a bottle of sparkling...

I came into DC for a job interview and had to foot my own bill, so really needed to find something affordable, but nice and in a good location. I found the American Guest House B&B on-line and it looked great. When I called, Vanesa was so nice and helpful ... I felt really good about my choice. When I...

This is a small B&B, very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent value for the price. Can't beat the location. Rooms are small but comfy. Few amenities. There is no elevator. Strong coffee and fresh muffins, fruit, cereal etc. for breakfast, served in a 19th century dining room.

Forget staying in the Washington Hilton - the American Guest House offers travelers a welcome alternative to traditional hotels. The staff is terrific, the room clean and spacious. The common breakfast table gave an opportunity to meet others who were attending the conference while indulging in a lovely breakfast. A great price for the quality of the lodging.

I would definitely recommend my relatives and friends to stay at this place while visiting DC. It’s certainly very different from the "commercial" hotels in that this American Guest House Bed & Breakfast makes you feel like “home away from home”. Jonathan who, I believe, takes care of this place is very nice and helpful, besides feeding you breakfast every...
