Well, it was the first stop of my road trip accross north america, and it couldn't have been better ! The rooms are nice, everything is clean, etc... What was great was the atmosphere of this house, all the guests take their breakfast together in the morning (Best. Breakfast. Ever), with homecook meals. You really chat a lot in this...

I stayed one night because there were no hotel available in DC under $300 per night. Probably due to graduations. The b&b was comfortable except for the shared bathroom on the third floor. That and the price -- my room was $200 per night are deterrants to my return. I have stayed at hotels in DC that were better located...

Would highly recommend this place. Very comfortable and quiet and in a great part of town very close to the main attractions. Lovely old house that oozes character but is also spotlessly clean. Free wifi worked very well all over the house. The place was warm and friendly without being intrusive. Dave was a great host and the breakfasts were...

Everything about this b and b is perfect. Dave thinks about every detail. The homemade bread, jam and other snacks in the dining room were exactly what I needed to recoup my energy after a long day of travel and business meetings, before venturing out to lively, human - scaled 14th street with it's zillions of unique food choices. The...

This is a very unexpected, charming residential B&B right in the heart of it all in Washington DC. It is in a completely safe neighborhood, and within one block there are many restaurants, shops and attractions (14th and U). There is a metro station nearby. The house itself is gorgeous and furnished throughout with antiques. Dave, the proprietor, obviously cares...

My partner and I did a research on B&Bs in the DC area and decided on this one due to its close proximity to the Metro (u Street) and a range of cafes and restaurants and other areas of interest. David, the owner, ensures his guests to his home (spread over two houses next to each other) are made to...

The house is very homely with antique style furnishings. The rooms were satisfactory and the bed very comfortable. The best part was the amazing breakfast which is described as continental but I would say was better than most lavish breakfasts in hotels with freshly baked goods and homemade quiches, fresh berries etc. we would recommend this place to anyone who...

The breakfast on the weekend is great and they say its only continental breakfast during the week but it is more then enough to pass for a regular breakfast at most places. The owner David gives great advice about what to do and is very knowledgeable about DC and the history of the area. Its close to a subway exit,...

William Lewis House is not just supremely comfortable and ideally-located, it is a unique traveler's destination in itself. The house is magnificent, with shared living areas including a wonderful dining room and sitting room, plus a verandah, where guests can mingle or curl up with a book. The rooms are spacious and appointed with a great blend of classic furniture...

It's a nice and informal B&B. Very clean room and bathroom and very authentic home experience. Bed was a bit squeaky, but comfortable. Breakfast was nice, a tad small selection of condiments, but satisfactory. Homemade pan-baked croissants which were extremely tasty! It's a bit of a walk from the nearest subway station and parking could be an issue, but it's...
