Needed a hotel for 1 night as we were driving down from NY and flying out of Reagan International. The rate on the room (2 double beds) was excellent. Hotel is located in a quiet area of DC known as Foggy Bottom. Pretty much right across the street from George Washington University, and a stone's throw from the infamous Watergate...

My husband and I stayed at University Inn for a week. Pros: The location was great. We were a mile walk to the Lincoln Memorial & White House. The hotel was clean and did feel safe. The staff was friendly. Cons: We returned to the hotel one night at 6pm and found housekeeping still cleaning our room. They did apologize,...

Older hotel, but we needed to be near Georgetown as well as American Universities and didn't want to fight all of the traffic coming into downtown DC for work, etc. as well as trying to catch a Metro stop-

Short walking distance to The George Washington campus. Older hotel, but comfortable stay with clean rooms. There is no lobby-per say- but there is a restaurant for evening dining. Friendly, helpful staff at front desk.

Our stay at this hotel was very nice. Mahboob greeted us at the valet park and was very kind and helpful to us during our stay. Great location near GWU and the metro. Would definitely stay here again!

I was very comfortable at the University Inn, and the staff was very welcoming. It feels like a tiny place tucked into a D.C. Neighborhood. Very charming. Close to the Foggy Bottom metro station but also walking distance to the National Mall. Only area of disappointment was a lack of hot water for my shower.

The hotel staff provided excellent service. The room was roomy and comfortable. The only aspect which left something to be desired was the water pressure in the shower. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and would stay at this hotel again.

With a pleasantly large sleeping room (for a big city, anyway), a very comfortable bed, attentive and courteous staff, and a great location at a fabulous price (AAA rate), my stay at the University Inn mostly met or exceeded my expectations... with a few annoying exceptions. I arrived later than anticipated - but before 9 p.m. - on a chilly...

“The location is a bit tricky as this hotel is tucked away next to George Washington University -- plan to pay $47 per night for parking -- OR attempt street parking -- just beware of signs/permits and times if having your car on the street. We got lucky both nights and saved the $$.”
