This hotel is comfortably near the mall. I caught the subway about 3 blocks from the hotel and took it to the Smithsonian. Walking on the mall to the Lincoln Memorial and then back to the hotel was a comfortable walking distance for an older person in reasonable shape. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. I was upgraded to...

Spent four nights here in a spacious suite for a combined work/pleasure trip with my wife. The most striking feature of the hotel is the genuine warmth and helpful, caring attitude of all staff: at the door, front desk, cleaning rooms, in the restaurant...even the repairman, who has no reason to chat up guests, was delightful to talk with. And...

My son was hospitalization at GWUH and the hospital website recommended to this hotel. It was walking distance to the hospital, transportation and numerous restaurants. The staff was friendly, accommodating and genuinely concerned about my family. The property was clean and well maintained. I would stay at this hotel again with no hesitation.

Great location for sightseeing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded to a spacious suite. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, was a paper clip under the table and a swizzle stick in the closet. So it wasn't vacuumed very well. Other than that it was very clean.

I just had one night in Washington, DC. I found this hotel via Hotwire. It has a great location right near the Foggy Bottom/ GWU metro stop. Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. I had no issues with noise. Room view was looking towards the Watergate towers.

We could hardly find this place. It is tucked into a little nook among two story row houses. Very small drive and entry. Cozy. Very European. The room is of average size. Smallish bath. Nothing special. However, fabulous location. I highly recommend this little gem. We were on third floor just over entrance. Smell of smokers below was annoying. The...

I've reviewed this hotel positively before but on this visit came to the conclusion that it really needs an update. The room I had was massive but inconvenient in layout. The closet and bathroom were round a corner from the bed. The bath had been re-surfaced but the resurfacing was scraping off. It didn't help that I was charged $300...

ideal for anyone interested in attending events at The Kennedy Center. The property is a short walk away. Rooms are simply appointed, but clean and spacious. Several Washington tourist attractions are fairly close. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu, but the two times I ate there, the food was good. In a largely residential...

My daughter and I were in DC for college visits. The University Inn is ideally situated - walking distance to GW and the metro but away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is small and in need of some renovation but the staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. The room was larger than expected and very comfortable. There is...
