Stayed here for 6 nights and only moved car once for dinner. Rooms are small but clean. No bedbugs as listed by previous posters. Restaurant/ bar downstairs. Walk to all museums- bring good shoes and umbrella in case of rain. Ate breakfast at Lincoln's Waffles 5 out of 6 mornings.

These rooms were basic and a little small, however the location was excellent and we walked everywhere for our entire week in DC. No sign of bed bugs either. The staff was friendly and there were two restaurants connected to the hotel that were open early and late. Overall we were satisfied and enjoyed the stay.

It was a unique experience. I stayed 3 nights during a professional BBQ competition. It was just a few steps across the street. Yes the phone charges won't stay in the outlet, yes the TVS are old tube type, yes there are no hair dryers and yes there is no shampoo. The only updates that I saw were the elevators...

The location was perfect. Easy walking distance (with 3 kids) to the Mall and White House. Hotel is in dire need of updating but the 100-year-old hotel definitely has character! It was clean, so we were happy. Pillows were in need of replacement and there are no hair dryers (which I didn't know prior to our stay!). But the staff...

Loved the location and the rates that we got for Harrington Hotel. Just a couple of minutes walk to the White House and just a little bit longer to the Washington Mall. You just cannot fault the location. However, the hotel is a little "old" and does require a bit more maintenance. However, the rooms are very clean, though a...

What a messed up place. Room's clean, comfortable and the location is great. But for $177 a night, I just think maybe I should have spent another $30 and I wouldn't have had to put up with the check in games. Here's the deal: I arrive in DC early a.m., about 9am. I say I know I'm way too early...

Had to come to DC for a meeting at the Grand Hyatt (VERY swanky), but could not spend the hundreds of dollars per night a room would cost there. The Harrington showed up as a well-rated, but old budget hotel. I'm okay with pensions and B&Bs in Europe, so I don't have to have sparkling new, and the cost for...

It's old out dated hotel, but who cares. It was clean and most important the location was the best. Right in downtown Washington and you won't find a cheaper hotel than that. Near the Whitehouse and the metro. We walked to the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

I have stayed at the Harrington 3 times thanks to a recommendation. Yes, it is 100 years old. Yes, it is not posh. The lobby is shabby. But the rooms have clean carpets (though cheap), new beds and clean sheets (quite comfortable, even with 2 of us in a double!), and ample towels in a clean bathroom. Yes, there are...

I stayed here because I couldn't get a room elsewhere. Pack your toiletries as there were nearly none in the room. Lobby and restaurants looked aged. The location was good and the room was clean, although tiny!
