We stayed our final night of our cycling trip at the Hyatt on Capital Hill because it is a mere 2 blocks to Amtrak, which we departed the next day. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and friendly and surprised to hear we cycled from Pittsburg. The room was spacious and clean, and bed was ultimate comfort. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant and room service breakfast. The cost was quite high, but we wanted to be close to Union Station.
I stayed here for two nights to attend a conference that was hosted on site. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were well laid out, and the location was convenient to the Capitol, and Smithsonian museums. It would be a good option to see a lot of the tourist attractions in DC. Breakfast was not included, but there were multiple places nearby.
The hotel elevators were old and slow. The only way to access the guest rooms from the conference center and the lobby were to use the elevators, there were no stair options, so you had to wait for the elevators. Having the key through the app on my phone was great, but the phone app key didn't open the fitness center, so I still had to go to the front desk to get a regular key just to do my workouts. It has a nice workout facility once you can get into it.
Well done, great hotel. Everything was clean. Rooms were easy to access. Staff was friendly, helpful. Food was excellent, especially considering the large volume of people for this conference. Concierge and valet staff were also great.
Had a conference and hotel room and thought the staff was great. The concierge got a reservation for us at restaurant for 19 people. Loved I could take a walk on the mall early in the morning. So convenient to everything.
Clean, modern, upscale hotel that meets the quality expectations set by Hyatt. A very short walk away from the Capitol and nice eateries. It has a nice restaurant on site with somewhat limited but good quality choices. The gift shop also functions as a Starbucks coffee shop. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and caters to a variety of tastes and needs; they even have salmon lox, (i.e., cold smoked salmon) at the breakfast buffet, and the chicken sausage was a nice addition to the traditional pork sausages, along with bacon and creamy scrambled eggs that also came as an egg-white only scramble - that says a lot about the quality of the place. The bed was wonderful with both down and regular pillows with clean, high-count cotton sheets. The AC was quiet and mounted high on the wall away from the beds, and the temp control was responsive and efficient. My room didn't have a view to speak of but the windows were large and clean, and the two sets of curtains did a nice job of allowing as much or little outside light in. The bathroom came with clean, thick, absorbent bath towels, hand towels and face towels, all of very good quality. The shower stall was on the smaller side but the showerhead and water pressure were excellent. …
Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill is at a great location. The facility is well-maintained and all staff are courteous and helpful. Highly recommend if you need a place close to the Mall. Easy access to Union Station as well. I flew into Dulles and took the Silver Line Express and then, Silver Line, Red Line to Union Station and took a short walk to this hotel. Flew out of Reagan and it was a short ride too.
I stayed at the Hyatt Capital Hill for a conference. The staff was so accommodating. My housekeeper, Madeline, was as nice as can be and was so polite when several times I was in the room and asked her if she could come later. Check in and out was very quick and easy. I like the fact that I could get a bottle of water daily and that they had masks and small individual bottles of sanitizer for the guests. All the staff was super nice and helpful The location is great - walking distance to the Capital and the mall. I will return.
The staff went above and beyond during my stay. I cannot say enough great things about their customer service and their focus on building repeat and loyal customers. I guarantee if anything isn't perfect in your stay, they will bend over backwards to fix it!
Stayed here for a conference being hosted at the hotel and had a wonderful stay. The front desk staff were top-notch with Kiara and Damir standing out. The bell staff were helpful as well. My room was clean and serviced every day which was a nice change from hotels not servicing at all during the stay.
