Lovely hotel conveniently located within walking (and cycling) distance of all that DC has to offer. Very gracious and accommodating staff - from the front desk to the room maids - who went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We had a suite on a high floor with a view of the Capitol and the... More

This place is all about the location. It's walking distance from everywhere and had its fair share of amenities. Wi-Fi is quite reliable, very friendly staff and courteous right throughout the day. Gym, restaurant, business centre... city view!! Only drawback is the elevator speed. Never you be in a rush to use the bathroom or your boots may feel the... More

We arrived at 9 in the morning and were greeted by Israel, he was an accommodating and personable host to be welcomed by. We were granted access to our room straight away with a free upgrade. The Hotel room was clean, sizeable and perfect for our 3 day getaway, would highly recommend the State Plaza to anyone visiting Washington D.C!

This hotel had friendly staff and nice rooms. The room I had was equipped with a mini kitchen that I didn't use, but would have been nice if staying longer or with family. It is a very short walk to OPM or GSA and about 20 minutes to the Lincoln Memorial or Washington Monument. It is also about ten minutes... More

We live to cycle in and around DC. We have ridden the Mt Vernon Trail, C&O, Capitol Crescent, Georgetown, Anacostia, Potomac Heritage, and through Rock Creek Park. The State Plaza is situated just a few blocks from The Lincoln Memorial and Kennedy Center, and within 1/4 of all the afore mentioned trails except the Georgetown. The hotel rooms are suites... We were in Washington, DC for 7 nights and are overall very pleased with our stay at the State Plaza. The room (Deluxe King) was very spacious and it was really nice to have a kitchen with a sitting area. The view from our room (8th floor, North Tower) was straight into another building, but since we spent most of... More

We had a great experience at the State Plaza Hotel. I'll start by stating that we're pretty low maintenance. The staff was very polite and welcoming and we had no issues with the valet service. Our room was upgraded to a suite for no charge with a kitchenette and extra smaller room, which the woman at the front desk said... More

We stayed here for our first two days in DC. The hotel was clean, room was clean, and big! Had a full kitchen which was surprising. Gym lacked in equipment and very very small! Close to the lincoln monument. staff was friendly and courteous.

This hotel is most likely not for you, unless you are okay with crippling maintenance problems, hallways that smell like restrooms and staff who lack basic customer service. The management asked us to move rooms TWICE during our stay. The first time was because the air conditioning unit leaked onto the carpet and was causing a damp cesspool of rot.... More

This is one of the most comfortable and welcoming hotels I've ever been in. Right from the reception you're greeted so pleasantly, you get to your room, pure delight. It was a studio room with twin beds, a dressing room linked to the bathroom and a kitchenette with microwave, table top, fridge, plates and cutleries and a small dining area.... More
