I was recently in DC for a conference. Organizers booked us all in The Beacon. From early-check-in to check-out, everything was not only seamless, but the staff was exceptional. Every member of the staff was available, helped with transportation, reservations and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly! Great job!

The hotel is located close to two metro stations- walking distance and lovely in the day. After sundown, the surrounding blocks emptied and my only complaint, because I traveled alone, would be that there were not any bars/restaurants in the immediate area. (I would assume that the rooftop bar is probably quite busy and nice in the warm months) My...

This hotel is run-down, poorly staffed, and lacks anything resembling modern amenities. Their reservations staff failed to record a change I made to my reservation so when I did arrive they had no record of my reservation and had charged me a "no-show" fee of $282, which they have so far refused to refund. While the front desk was sorting...

All good except that the standard of your breakfast is poor and the service during breakfast is slow. poor and on occasion rude --in contrast to all other interactions I had in the hotel. Quality of rooms fine and staff at front desk and concierge were always helpful Finally the lock system for your doors caused significant problems for me...

The hotel was picked by the group, for its convenience to where we needed to be for meetings. Some of the staff could have been a little more attentive, with the needs of guest. The hotel was clean. Not sure I would stay there if I was in DC for pleasure or a longer period of time.

Looking for a nice, intimate experience at a "boutique hotel" in DC? The Beacon is for you. Convenient location just north of the White House, really nice restaurant and bar on premise. Nice personal service. Well kept rooms. This hotel is a little older but a good choice for saving a few dollars and still having a nice clean room...

Came into DC for a three day weekend trip. Picked this location because of its proximity to restaurants we wanted to try during the Winter DC Restaurant Week. Red Line Metro is within an eleven minute walk. The only downside about our stay was that we had one of those rooms that had a shared door between them and one...

My girlfriend and I traveled to D.C this past July and we selected this hotel based upon location (as it was close to a red line metro station). Our room was nice and clean and had an excellent view of Downtown D.C. The staff was friendly and helpful at the hotel as well. The only complaint that I particularly have...

If I could give this 0 stars I would. The management is incompetent and insulting. I booked a queen bed for me and my girlfriend. They gave us a double. The manger was a real jerk about it. So I spoke to the general manager. I measured the bed, it was 54" wide by 74", which by definition is a...
