A 5 minute walk to the DuPont Circle Metro and 15 minutes to Georgetown plus tons of restaurants. Boutique hotel with large rooms (albeit tiny, tiny bathrooms), great coffee and hot chocolate plus a wine hour. Excellent staff as well. Perhaps the best value proposition of any hotel around Dupont Circle.

The staff was more than helpful in giving us directions, making recommendations for vegetarian restaurants etc. The hotel felt homey- but was modern, clean and had great ammenities. We loved that there was an alcove with bunk beds which allowed us to save on cost by only getting one room- but gave the kids a comfortable and semi private place...

Wife and I have stayed at the Madera in the Dupont Circle neighborhood 4 times now. It is reliable. Not luxurious but rooms are very functional and are roomy enough. Also the service is good. Firefly bar was great. Ate the mini pot roast at the bar, and it was remarkable. Bartender was very friendly and made a great cocktail....

I stayed here for one night on business. Location off of DuPont Circle is prime. Great staff, very efficient. Their printer at the business center was not working, but Patrick provided excellent support and they removed an access charge to make up for the inconvenience. Was pleasantly surprised by the large, well appointed room. Will definitely stay again!

I recently stayed at Hotel Madera with a team our of employees for an annual meeting. Michele was excellent at assisting me with ensuring our team was taken care of, assisting with getting my Karma Rewards attached to our reservation, and with helping one of our employees who had to cut their stay short due to weather. Every time we...

Lively restaurant and great mix cocktails, the room layout was spacious but a little odd. Toilet and shower in one part of room and sink in another area. Also no gym facilities though you are allowed to use there sister property a few blocks away. As with every Kimpton I have stayed had great sleep quality. This hotel, the rooms...

Hotel staff all extremely friendly for a start! Complimentary wine hour between 5 and 6 which was great after a long day of sightseeing! Room was big and spacious, bathroom smaller but did not affect the stay at all. All very clean and tidy and the room was modern. Great location for the Dupont Circle Metro and about 20 minute...

There is only valet parking at this hotel. Parking cost $49 plus tax per night. I'm not a fan of valet parking, even if free, so parking was big negative for me. This my second stay at the Madera. The hotel appears to be a former apartment building nestled among apartments and embassies near DuPont Circle. It is within walking distance of the Kimpton Palomar, a Starbucks, and various restaurants and cafes. It's own restaurant/bar looks like a fun hideaway. The lobby is a very small transition area, but the bell staff...

Not quite what I was expecting. Check in area needs rethinking.....our room good but bathroom small and lots of wasted space. We got to pay an extra 70 USD for room tax etc, but reading other reviews now, if we had joined rewards programme. This wouldn't apply? Never mentioned to us. Great advice given by one of heads of front...
