We stayed at Hay Adams twice in the past 6 weeks... No doubt it is the best location in Dc! Amazing view of the White House Great food Great brunch Best eggs Benedict I ever had... Emmanuel was amazing as our server on both visits. Victoria (Manager on Duty) was world class... Loved room 406 (White House view) and room 730 The front office/Concierge team is as good as I experienced at the Connaught London or the Ritz Paris... We will return Olivier and Delia
I came to DC for business and didn't know what to expect. The hotel far exceeded my expectations. From check-in to check-out everything was flawless. The building is older and very well maintained. The food service was impeccable, everything from room service to meals in the restaurant were delicious. I'd put The Hay-Adams in the top group of hotels I've visited.
I can say nothing negative about this property or the staff. I was in town for only one night and splurged on a White House view room. It was awesome. You walk right into the view of the White House. The room is impeccably clean and decorated in a stately manner. The bed was extremely comfortable. I honestly think I may have been the only person on my floor because I did not hear a single soul. Concierge arranged for a driver to take me around the Monuments in the evening after a delicious dinner at the Lafayette so I could take some pictures at night. Everyone greeted me with a smile on their face. I recommend staying at this hotel and eating at the Lafayette.
My friends and I had the pleasure of dining at the Top of the Hay last night. It was a tremendous experience. Everybody working there was excited to be there, gracious, hospitable, and fully embracing of all Covid protocols. Our view was exquisite. We had a fantastic view of an illuminated White House and monuments on a clear night. Simply gorgeous – and worth it alone! But everything was good. The service was outstanding from all involved. We enjoyed cocktails to start and I was excited to see that my favorite from the downstairs bar Off the Record was there – the Pear Martini. It was delicious as always. We all enjoyed our food. From the shared charcuterie plate to the octopus starter to the fish and steaks that some of us had, everything was cooked perfectly. We tried a few of the desserts. The chocolate date cake was beautiful – I almost didn’t want to eat it! And the passion fruit soufflé was delicious as well. Overall, we were very impressed by our dinner at the Hay-Adams/ Top of the Hay restaurant. A class act, and I look forward to many future visits.…
We decided to treat ourselves to a night out and the Hay-Adams EXCEEDED all of our expectations. As soon as we pulled up, the staff who greeted us were kind. The hotel and all staff were following all Covid courtesies. When we checked in, we were given a Covid-safe bag with mask, wipes, and hand-sanitizer. They were kind enough to upgrade our room and man, was it an upgrade! We had a room that was pretty much in front of the White House! The balcony doors opened up to the most gorgeous view. Pictures could not do it justice. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, which were delicious! Everything was so clean! I really can’t brag enough about the service we received. Everyone was so nice and attentive. I cannot wait to come back.
