We were in a group of 28 people. Some had rooms so tiny that it was difficult to negotiate. My friend and I had an excellent room overlooking the Mahatma Ghandi statue. The windows open!!! What a treat to get fresh air in a hotel. The washroom was huge and we got extra hangers for all of our clothes. The...

Short Version: A well-located but dilapidated hotel that is a bargain only at 1-star rates. Absolutely not a luxury property. I ignored negative descriptions about the property when I made my reservation, but I figured, "Hey, any hotel serves hundreds of customers every week and will always have a few high-maintenance, unhappy people! I've stayed in all kinds of places...

We can certainly appreciate your frustration when it came to the temperature of the water in your room being too hot for your comfort. We are aware of certain issues and are working diligently to find a better solution to this problem. Our hope is that the remainder of your stay, was enjoyable and that our staff worked hard to...

Bright, clean and elegant. Gorgeous public areas and ballroom space perfect for the wedding party we observed. Bellmen quite friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return this summer. We had two rooms adjoining which was perfect with three teenagers.

At arrival we got room 707. We found a dirty room and with human faeces on chairs!! When we complained they brought a new chair! We demanded a room change and got room 202. Here we found mouse traps, mouse excrements and a dead and dried mouse! Then quickly change to room 324! Now it was dark, we went to...

My girlfriend and I are local to DC but we wanted to stay somewhere nice downtown for New Years Eve. We chose the Fairfax based on other reviews and it's location, and we could not have been happier! The hotel is top notch, with excellent service from the moment you arrive to the moment you check out. I would like...

The decoration and ambience of the hotel is very nice. The service needs improvement however. Most of the staff with whom we had interactions behaved like they were annoyed that they had to answer questions about the hotel services and amenities. We were not given the information at check-in so naturally we had questions. Customer service is important to us,...

I loved everything about my stay here - customer service was great, the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. I only wish I had stayed longer than 1.5 days... I will definitely return. *I did stay here about 2.5 years ago, I wasn't able to select that far back when completing this.

This hotel is great, the people treated me like a celebrity and greeted my family with a warm welcome. The room was very elegant and the bed was comfy. The lobby has a cozy feel and the people at the front desk greeted me every time I walked inside the hotel. The Fairfax defiantly deserves five stars
