Impressive stay overall. Hotel stay fit my needs very well. Very historical with plenty of seating areas. It does lack an indoor swimming pool and a family restaurant. There is a small bistro available. If a restaurant does exist, I didn't see it. It is a block away from the White House and walking distance to the "Mall" between the... More

Booked a “room with a view” but beware as the view might be mainly of the courtyard. Having said that I discovered later that the garden area I could see from the corner of my room was the backyard of the White House and the Lincoln monument was in the distance. There is no breakfast, but lots of places in... More

I drove to Washington to take my kids to see all the museums and monuments and wanted to stay close to everything. We stayed 6 nights. The Willard is walking distance to the Mall and everything around it. The hotel itself is a very nice old historic building. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Valet took care of... More

The location was perfect for access to many of the sites in DC. Within walking distance to most attractions. (if you do not mind walking a bit, and Washington is a great city for walking.) If you do not like to walk the hop on and hop off bus stops right at the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful,... More

Excellent hotel, great history, great location. Take some time to talk to the very friendly staff this property has a great history also ask about the origin of the word lobbyist. The restaurants were very good but i would stick with the OCCIDENTAL a bit better than the cafe le parc. Highly recommended

Historic DC hotel kept up to date. Some rooms have excellent views of Pennsylvania Ave. and Washington Monument. We had a wonderful 4th of July in the Theodore Roosevelt Oval Suite. We enjoyed a great meal in the suite's dining room with a view of the fireworks. Great location by Mall, museums, and White House. Impeccable service and stunning lobby.... More

We stayed at the Willard InterContinental on July 10 & 11, 2015. We arrived early and they accommodated our luggage. They sent us a text when one of our room's was ready which was early. Our rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The reason I gave it 5 Stars was b/c the service was excellent and the hotel... More

We recently spent 4 nights here. It is a really really great hotel. The service is incredibly friendly and professional, my 3 sons, 13, 11 and 10 were made to feel really welcome. We had interconnecting rooms which were big, clean and very comfortable. We actually tried to change our plans to stay an extra night in DC because we... More

Had a great time at this hotel. The decor and staff were extremely friendly. The hotel room had old black and white photos that really made the room feel charming and homey. Keep in mind, this hotel was originally built in 1816, so if you're expecting lots of glass and glitter, you're looking in the wrong place. US presidents, president elects, and royalty have stayed in The Willard. The rooms are spotless and the lobby is a photographer's dream with the marble and wood. My only complaint are the windows on the... More
