Nice place to stay for hunting season. Could use some more level sites, but otherwise good stay. The owner and his help were very helpful. They hooked me up to electric and water and even fixed their mistake when they accidentally hooked up to my black tank sprinkler. There is a very loud mule that lives next door and makes...

We stayed in a '63 Ideal travel trailer, one of several vintage campers available. We quickly felt right at home in the fun retro setting. Steve is a gracious and responsive host and runs a tidy campground, with small ponds attracting a large variety of birds, and picturesque views. Our vintage camper was beautifully restored and immaculate. We will be...

I spent three nights at La Siesta last week. It could not have been any better for me.. It is definitely off the beaten path, but it is extremely comfortable there. Steve is a wonderful host/owner. The views were utterly amazing. Sunrises were breathtaking. It is close to a multitude of hiking, and the smalltown of Arivaca has all the...

Upon arriving at La Siesta campground, we were greeted warmly by Steve, the property owner. He took us on a tour of the premises. There was a variety of vintage trailers, beautifully redone on site, we stayed in, if I recall correctly, a mid 50's airstream. It was perfect for what we wanted. There also was a small lake just...

My girlfriend and I were traveling though Aravaca and were planning on camping for our first time. We came upon the campsite and looked at the vintage trailers and decided we wanted to sleep in a bed. We stayed Friday and Saturday night in a small pink trailer. It was fantastic! We grilled hotdogs each night and watched the stars....

Had a great weekend with my buddies. Caught a bunch nice bass in the pond spotted dozens of deer, the coyotes were singing and Steve was an excellent host. It was truly like visiting family and we can't wait to see the planned improvements such as the coffee house on our next visit! We stayed in a friend camp trailer...

Stopped here during the Arivaca home tour and had fun showing two of our vintage travel trailers. It's a charming little campground, not to large and not too small. Steve and his family are always making improvements and they make you feel as if you are already part of the family the minute you arrive. The ponds are a delightful...

This is a hidden treasure! We had never been to the Arivaca area but participate in vintage trailer functions so decided to make an adventure to rural Arizona. The park is a new venture for owner Steve Rendon, who is one of the nicest, most positive, happy person we have ever met (he is very contagious!). You can expect to...

“Pay attention to the directions on getting there. If coming from Amado and I-10, the turn for the campgrounds is before Buenos Aires Nature Preserve and before the town of Arivaca Centro....so go check them out first if you like. Otherwise go left on to Universal Ranch Rd from Arivaca Rd.....then right onto Arivaca Ranch Road and right again onto Hardscrabble...this on is dirt and gravel and will be graded more soon, but you will make it, it is not far..... Also don't be confused if you are heading into town and see a sign for Hardscrabble on the left ...there is a church there....but apparently the road does not (yet) go through to the campgrounds.....maybe soon.....have fun!”
