The only reason to stay here is because it is a Disney property hotel and it's very close to the parks. Otherwise the rooms are fair and the price is expensive. I compare this hotel to some of the hotel establishments on Harbor Drive.

Paradise Pier Hotel was wonderful. The grandkids loved the pool, the outdoor movie. Gma & Gpa enjoyed the abundance of life guards, the Sandbar Lounge and the easy access to Disneyland and California Adventures.

You access Disneyland through Downtown Disney. It is a bit of a walk, but I am nearing 60 and had no trouble doing it. You can also take the monorail into Disneyland from Downtown Disney, but it was not running at the time we were ready to go into the park. If you can take the monorail, the walk is not bad at all.

It's depends on Disney sometimes they let you go through Grand California and sometimes they don't just depending on the the season of when you are going because there's a couple times where we stayed there and they didn't let us through and then there's a couple times when we were there they let us through it all just depends on what Disney still working on on access points and stuff. Yeah so it's hard to say about that question.
