I need to start by saying I got an incredible deal picking an unspecified hotel in a general area close to Disneyland for the 3rd and 4th of July. My reservation was made on the 3rd and I was psyched to say the least.
The front desk staff was friendly and shuffled things around so my back to back reservations could be in the same room.
But the room itself was aged, mismatched and shoddy. The stairs up to the second floor and the walkway itself were badly in need of repair. An open dumpster sits alongside those stairs.
It was billed as ½ mile to Disneyland. That was true if you were a crow and flew to the back wall. It was a 35 minute walk - at a brisk pace - to get to the main gates.
The biggest concern was an unmarked curb between the parking lot/dumpster level and the sidewalk that led to the stairs. I didn’t see the curb and tripped hard. Screwed up my knee and my shoulder.

We looked at this location in an effort to save a couple bucks. We arrived here well after 11pm to check-in. The lobby was being renovated and we weren't able to enter. The lack of lighting on the walkways at night is concerning. Old furniture and construction debris is abundant throughout the location. Be very careful walking on the 2nd floor tile walkway in the rain. Our room was 331 and upon arrival it looked like a remodel was attempted. Rusty light fixtures, as well as rust in the bathtub. The bug on the pillow was a big red flag, but my wife was trying to remain upbeat about our trip. The next day when we returned from Disneyland there were a couple more bugs in our room. Later that evening we were awakened by someone beating on our door. It was a lady asking if I knew the bus schedule so she could get out of there. She was also looking for a cigarette. The next morning while getting ready to head over to the park we noticed several more bugs on the floor and bed. My wife saw them coming from an area above the door, so I stood on the bed and saw a hole in the wall where the dozen or more bugs had come into the room. We notified front desk and were relocated to the room next door. While I can't speak for all the rooms in this establishment, I can not recommend this place to anyone. The pictures on the website are a bit deceiving as to the true quality.

We stayed here last week and figured we just needed a clean place to sleep and store our bags while we did Disney all day so we weren’t looking for much.

We were disappointed to find it wasn’t clean and we were hesitant about leaving our bags there as a result.

There were foreign long hairs wadded up on the floor of the bathroom and on the walls of the shower. I made the mistake of looking under the bed when we were leaving to check for personal items….there was a lot of dirt, dust bunnies and food wrappers that didn’t belong to us. My sister in law stayed a few doors down and killed 3-4 cockroaches in the 3 nights we stayed there. We checked for bed bugs and didn’t see any thankfully.

On the plus side, the AC worked. There was a bus stop close by that takes you to Disney for a small fee. It’s about a 30 min walk to the main entrance of Disney or a $7 Uber.

Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again based on the lack of cleanliness.

I absolutely loved this hotel, it’s a hidden Gem! The staff here is amazing, and helped us out so much! My wife and I arrived two hours before check-in time, and they didn’t even charge us to check-in early! It is a bit of a distance from Disneyland; however, they have papers at their front desk on how to get to a free shuttle, if you don’t mind walking approximately fifteen minutes. My wife and I used Lyft and Uber, which cost us approximately $15 dollars a day, for the trip to the park and back. We were here five days and were able to save more money doing the Uber/Lyft than spending way more money on a hotel that you could just walk five minutes from. The fridge and microwave are these retro looking ones, totally awesome! The room was so fantastic, and the bed is heavenly! Literally one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever been in! I also believe I saw a sign that said they’re renovating, which means the rooms can only get better! The name is a bit misleading, but the whole “Maingate” is talking about for employees. My only suggestions for this hotel, and I won’t put any less than a five star because my wife and I had an amazing experience, but my only suggestions for the hotel are as follows: 1) really needs a blow dryer and ironing board, the closet totally has the space for it. 2) update the lamps on the side tables to the ones that have USB ports, the nearest available plug in is by the desk on the other side of the room; which we totally worked around and didn’t bother us, just a suggestion! 3) need non-slip mats in the bathtub, those porcelain jobs are slippery!
Literally, other than that, no problems whatsoever! A hidden gem you really should consider doing business with on your Disneyland adventure!

This hotel has been reborn! I know it wasn't much before but the newly renovated rooms are such a breath of fresh air. Clean, modern esthetic, with special touches that are unique. I would rank it as one of the nicer rooms I've stayed in at any hotel, even at twice the price. Yes, there are still a few things that are still to be done as the renovations are near the end. But you can really tell that the owners went all out to create a place that is restful and rejuvenating. Note: this is August 2024. Any review prior to this is simply not the same place anymore.

Our stay was specifically for Disneyland and it was very good in regards to location. When we checked in it took the front desk person about 15 minutes to show up, after we rang the bell a few times.
The room was pretty rough but clean enough.

We did feel pretty safe as most people were families staying for Disneyland. The rooms were non smoking and there was free parking.

The complimentary breakfast was poor, only some muffins, but for the price we paid it was alright.
The pillows were very hard and the soap was really bad quality

Cheap and good location is all I can say!

This is a terrible establishment. It is going through a renovation but I was placed in one room that was downright scary. I complained and was placed in a room where the heat didn’t work. It was 1:00 am and I just toughed it out. It is truly a cheap place in price and quality. Asked for a refund on that night and to cancel a second night. Wound up wasting $207 dollars. Plenty of other hotels available. Don’t let my mistake be yours. Don’t stay here.

motel was ok, not that close to Disney, but stil 15-20 mins walking distance.
Shopping center was at driving distance, around 10 mins.
Breakfast was basic, coffee, muffins.
Chosen this one as our family of 4 was budget travelers.
Parking free and reserved for customers, just in case notify them in advance.

We stayed in one of the 3rd floor rooms (#331). It was clean, no bugs. No fan in the bathroom. Nice size TV on the wall. We were asked to not smoke in the room. We followed the rules, and I did get my $100 deposit back. I know this is probably most peoples' concern.

I was a little worried about staying here after reading the reviews. Although I wasn't expecting the quality of my vacation timeshare, I was hoping it was livable for the 5 days I would be there.
I was there over Thanksgiving, and paid only 44.10 per night, so I wasn't expecting too much. I was pleasantly surprised at the location (right next to the parking lot where the tram takes you to the park!) and that saves $10 bucks a day in parking, or walking to a shuttle.
The room was small, but about the size of a Motel 6. It did have a fridge and microwave, a decent T.V, the beds where comfortable, and the rooms were clean. All the reviews said the place was filthy, my room was not. I stayed in 105. The only drawbacks were the parking lot (very hard to find parking if you left, which we didn't until the last day anyway). Continental Breakfast is donuts, coffee and juice, but what do you expect for $44? There was a coffee pot in the room, and you do have to pay a small remote control deposit. (refundable). We only slept in the room, as we spent all our time at the park, we only watched t.v less than 30 minutes the whole trip. If you are a spoiled brat, and need lots of bells and whistles, and comfort and pretties...than don't stay here, spend the several hundred a night for luxury and save the griping about how awful the economy motel is. It is do-able and suitable if your sole purpose is to do the parks, and sleep. I hope this helps.
