I stayed here twice in two weeks. The rooms are clean but there was no body location the first time and the one available the second time was obviously used. The common floor downstairs looked dirty. And people in the hallway woke me up once.

This motel should have their franchise pulled from Marriott for the current state of the hotel. The pool area looked nice but was closed by the government. The elevator that was reported broken months earlier was still not working for the time I was there In December 2020. The room I was assigned smelled horribly of mildew to find the carpet under the sink wet but not from the sink. The tub faucet did not shut off dripping a steady stream and if the shower diverter was left on the water dripped out of the shower bounced off the tub spout and soaked the rug. The balance of the rug was filthy from dirt or mildew leaving my feet and socks black. The furnishings were well abused and left signs of hard use. The AC filter had not been cleaned in months requiring me to wipe off the dust and wash the filter. Due to the 1970 design of the AC unit, whenever someone smoked outside the fumes were sucked into my room. The TV was huge, 60+”, but hung crooked, low on one end by 1-2”, with no guide for what channels were available. The beds were 10 years past time for replacement with a deep sag in the middle where the springs were worn. The pillows were plentiful but all flat so it took 3 to make one normal size pillow. Due to the location on I-5, there was constant noise that sounded like the interstate was running through the room. I used ear plugs, music off the phone, and a pillow over my head to drown out the noise but it did not work. There were two arrests in the parking lot over 10 days, numerous times their were vagrants sleeping in the stairwells begging for money, one women offering company at 11P and one domestic dispute leading to one of the arrests. The staff was friendly and accommodating but the hotel was a huge disappointment. Over the weekend, we believe the owner was there in a Rolls Royce to pick up receipts from the weekend. Maybe 20 years ago this was a nice hotel but it is horrible now and should be avoided. There are other Marriott properties within a mile that are 1000 times nicer for 10-15% more cash

This is my favorite hotel but now I'm not sure. When Disneyland was open, this was my go to spot. When I wanted to go to Anaheim, this was my go to spot. I recommend this hotel to everyone even when it was the old Hotel Menage. I just recently stayed and it was so disappointing. I got an amazing rate but the clientele has become very sketchy. I was there for 3 nights and during my stay, the police were there twice and once I witness an arrest. The main lobby elevator was out of service so we had to use the other one. It almost became a joke of "what would we find today?" as there were half eaten tacos, cigarette butts, trash and really all it needed was a vacuum and a wipe down. All the outdoor areas were littered with trash, more cigarettes butts and it honestly was just so sad. The room wasn't bad. The same room as I have known it. We only received one set of towels and it did take 40 minutes for someone to deliver them. Not a huge deal as they did seem short staff that evening. The bed was comfy but the pillows lacked all sort of material. I did wish they provided some plastic cups too. Trust me, I work in the industry and I know with COVID-19, things can be hard for us hoteliers at the moment. It really doesn't take that much time just to pick up trash, or vaccum an elevator especially when all their staff uses that same elevator. I did appreciate them handing out masks to those who needed them and all the hand sanitizer. They did a great job in trying to help prevent but I'm just disappointed. Also, charging a parking fee when the parking lot is full of sketchy people, trash, and police, I think is a little unfair. Overall, I do hope this place gets better after everything passes as it is a great location and once was an amazing place to stay.

I was very disappointed in my stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was great and the room seemed to be cleaned thoroughly. However, the room smelled of bleach and it felt very musty. The elevator was really disgusting. The flooring of the elevator was pulling up and it was just dirty. The parking lot was very sketchy as well. Lots of people hanging out in the parking lot and there is not enough lighting or pathways to the hotel, especially if you park in the back. There is no side door access to the hotel and you have to go in through the front door. The rooms definitely need to be updated with furniture and linens. The sheets seemed to be clean, but this property was nowhere near the level of other Four Points properties. I would not stay here again. :(

So let’s start with the pics I took, just a few things that you would think the Sheridan would be better at maintaining. The unsettling smell by the sink is also to be noted. The mosquitoes were the worst part of it all. Overall, I thought the Sheridan would upkeep much better than what I saw, especially during a pandemic!
