SpringHill Suites Pasadena Arcadia is an all-suite Marriott hotel near Santa Anita, CA. We are located less than 10-miles from popular attractions like the Rose Bowl Stadium, Old Town Pasadena, and the Huntington Library & Gardens. Families enjoy our king and double-queen suites that offer plush Marriott bedding, a separate living space with a pull-out sofa, a wet-bar with microwave and mini-fridge, flat-screen HD TV with premium channels, and a spacious work space.

We stayed here for one night in order to visit the Huntington Library (we do not live in LA County). Overall, the hotel was satisfactory and standard for a Marriott establishment.
The receptionist was very polite and patient in checking us in + giving us extra bedsheets, although the hotel seemed understaffed. The room was clean and came with the basic amenities and furniture. One annoyance was the fact that our room's alarm was set to 6 AM by a previous guest and not reset by room service, thus waking my family up. The hotel is located near the Huntington Library and also to Caltech.
Breakfast was a standard continental with the usual waffles, eggs, yogurt, cereal, and coffee/juice. When we visited, the breakfast area was extremely packed at around 9 am, with all seats taken, but by around 9:15 it was beginning to clear out.
One thing to note is that window rooms can be susceptible to noise generated from the parking lot. We were subjected to garbage truck noises during our stay, although it was quite mild.

This hotel is always having deals on Expedia! Check-in is always fast and checking out is a breeze. It is very spacious and the beds are super comfy. The walls are pretty thick as well i didn't really hear our next door neighbor. This hotel also offers stuff u can buy at check- in like snacks and soda, beer, ect.

This was the cheapest of the Marriotts in the Arcadia area at the time. Nothing to outstanding about this hotel. Fine for a quick one night stay but not more. Upon checking in, we were told we got an upgrade for our Bonvoy membership but when we got to our room it was clear that we didn’t get one. Later I overheard a different front desk staff tell someone that upgrades weren’t available because all the rooms were the same. So did the first staff member lie to us? The room was fine. Very low and dim lighting in the bathroom and sink area. Had to take the desk lamp over at one point so I could see what I was doing in front of the mirror. I found some ants and quite a bit of long hair in the bedding and the corners of the room. Walls were super super super thin. I could hear everything that our neighbors were saying and listening to. At one point, I almost wanted to tell them that I could hear it all. The AC was dusty and had a constant squeaking sound. Fortunately, it was the AC and my exhaustion that saved the night. It was loud enough to be able to drown out the noise from the adjacent rooms above and next door. Breakfast was mediocre with a very small serving and dining area. I ended up having to take my food back to the room because of the limited space. Breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, frittata, and then your usual waffle/cereal combos. Overall not somewhere I’m dying to go back to but fine in a pinch.

Positives, bed was excellent. Hotel is brand new so everything is clean and looks great.
Negatives, if it’s a Friday night and your room is on the back of the hotel be prepared for the very loud band at the bar behind the hotel to start at 7 pm until after 11 pm and the party people at the bar they keep going until 3 am in the morning. It actually is so loud it’s like there in your room. Then they’re the commuter trains going by your window every 10 min or so. I’ve stayed at other hotel properties in this area without these issues so we will not be returning to this hotel again. We travel thru this area about every 3 or 4 months so know all the hotels within a few blocks of this hotel
At check in two staff were helping the person in front of me until one finally decided that he could actually check in the another person (me) waiting. Kept me waiting again as he went to check if the room was ready, yes physically left the desk and went up to the room. First time ever that the hotel front desk didn’t know if a room was ready by looking at their monitor. Then the two at the desk started telling me what time breakfast was giving me the wrong timings (they were written on the wall right behind them). NOT a great first impression on arrival.
Sink in room is cracked (and this hotel is brand new). Light over sink is not bright enough, hard to shave in early morning. A lot of little issues. bed is to close to wall on one side and you need to squeeze by the ac unit on wall.
No tv remote in the room, I had to go get another at the front desk.
Did not try the breakfast as we decided to leave after being woken up (again) at 3:00 am. No one at the front desk to tell that we weren’t happy with the stay when we left.
We did NOT receive any “surveys” after the next few days to give our opinion of the stay (like most hotels do) so decided to post issues on this site.

I have spoken with my front desk team to be more mindful where they are locating guests while on property. As you know you stayed with us on a very busy weekend, so the team has no option but to place you in a room that is available to them. We try our very best to place our guests in an accommodating area and we would have been more than happy to put you in a different room given the circumstances. While the hotel lay out is nice and they say on their webpage they charge you to park, (they don't), you will want to avoid the breakfast...unless you are ok with eating scrambled eggs that come from a box not shells, stale bread products, gluey oatmeal, and rock hard out of season fruit. Not worth it. But it is unfortunately the standard cheapo fare with the Marriott chain. And don't try to complain they will send you some condensing email suggesting you are a "complainer"anyway and not worthy of their attention. Don't eat or pay for this breakfast!

This was the worst Marriott hotel stay my husband and I have ever experienced in over 20 years of staying at Marriott hotels. During our short two night stay, we experienced cold coffee upon check-in that ran out with barely a cup filled, dog treats on the carpet (as if the carpet hadn't been vacuumed), extremely slow drainage issues with the sink, toilet (had to hold the handle down for a complete flush each time) and shower (water was backed up and rose so had to keep turning off water to drain before turning it on again), immensely loud banging and thumping like a bowling ball was being thrown across the floor throughout the night by the guests above us, and stale muffins and watery oatmeal at breakfast. We've stayed at several Marriott hotels over the years and this is by far the worst hotel experience we've ever had at Marriott or any other hotel outside of Marriott for that matter. The issues we experienced during our stay is more than just being resonsive. These issues have been ongoing for years according to the reviews and it's unfortunate that management or the owner of this property is either oblivious or choosing to ignore the many problems being mentioned in the reviews that I myself also experienced. There are obvious and recurrent issues with this hotel and I am mind boggled that those same complaints are similar to what I experienced this weekend with comments ranging from only a couple of weeks ago to 2 years ago although supposedly there was a "renovation" about a year ago. Hopefully these issues get resolved.

My name is Caroline Gardner. I am a Senior 67 years old and I had a Amazing Experience at the Springhill Suites Pasadena Arcadia Hotel. I was treated so kindly they met my every need and desire. After traveling by bus our air conditioning had broke down so I was hot over heated from an over 8 hours drive with an Excellent experience driver who prayed us to our destination safely. But once there, the Hotel changed my shower head to a new one full force water Rescued Me and a Excellent Air Conditioner cooled my body down. Breakfast had all I loved Bacon, Eggs, oatmeal coffee,tea, lime cucumber mint water, fruits, cereal pancakes, milk, yogurt, just everything was so so Wonderful. Look for Renee, Hector, Luz, Henry, Rita, Ivanka and Claudia. I appreciate and Applaud your teamwork. Great Job. I already booked my next 2 trips to Rocford and back to you guys. Great Job. Conveniently located, clean, friendly staff. Adrianne (sp?) was very helpful and friendly! I had left my favorite Hello Kitty washcloth hanging on the shower rail when we left. I called on a Monday to see if anyone had found it. A very polite and pleasant person advised me to call back the following day when the housekeepers would have reported in. He stated if anyone had found it, it would be held for me. I called the next day and Adrianne said she would try to track it down and would get back to me. She got back to me in about half an hour, but unfortunately my washcloth wasn't able to be found. It's my own fault, but the experience at Springhill was really refreshing! Our first time here. Nice quiet area away from the hussle and bussle of downtown Pasadena. Free parking! Easy to walk to several nearby restaurants. Clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the rooms could use some updating - our sofa was torn and soiled. But the excellent front desk personnel let us know that they are scheduled for a renovation this summer. So we'll be back!
