Valet parking only but easy to text them ahead of time and have the car ready by the time you come down.

Apparently housekeeping service is only available every 7 days during COVID - they only come by to restock toiletries and take out the trash (you can ask for more water).

Fridges are now in rooms.

The standard rooms have no bathroom doors- there’s a door for the toilet but you’re showering in the open (glass shower doors so it’s all visible). Could be weird if you’re not traveling as a couple.

No upgrades for platinum but we did have a nice room with a view of the park behind the hotel. Coffee available by the bar in the mornings.

We booked a room that included parking charges-when checking out they charged us for valet parking which was annoying to have them fix and remove.

I stayed at this hotel last night.

First the good. It's a beautiful property. The staff is very good and accommodating. Wide open interior spaces with beautiful decorations.

The bad (or perhaps bewildering). The rooms look nice, but not so much when you begin using them. They have a lovely shower and the bathroom floor has large slate tiles. But when you go to use the toilet, it fails. The toilet is fairly small and the lids are made of cheap, thin plastic. Really?? Now onto the lights. They have small push button panels next to the entrance and next to the bed, which control all of the lighting throughout. However, they are hard to read and, when the lights are off, impossible to even find. There is absolutely no illumination to them. When I was in bed, and the lights were off, I had to feel along the wall to find them. Even then, you couldn't tell which buttons were used for which area. (Unless you have them memorized! Try getting up quickly to answer the phone in complete darkness. Almost impossible. There's no microwave for those small needs. There is no coffee maker, you have to get dressed and fumble downstairs to ask a bartender for a cup! Onto - parking. They charge $27 for valet parking. You can park your own car, but they'll still charge you the same $27! I could go further, but the last thing I want to mention is that they also charge you $6 to connect to the WiFi.

All of the above is done much, much better at most other quality hotels. And many of these up-charges are given for free!

Dear Bob, Thank you for staying at Le Meridien Pasadena Arcadia. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the staff and beautiful decor, however disappointed that the other items you mentioned detracted from your overall impression of our hotel. We appreciate all guest feedback as it gives us valuable insight into the wants and needs of travelers and helps us to improve our product and services for the future. In regards to the wifi charges, all Bonvoy members receive complimentary wifi and it's free to sign up. A simply way to save a few dollars. Thanks again for staying and sharing your feedback. we hope to see you here again. Be well,

Did a little stay cation to use the pool for the kid. No upgrades available (deluxe was available on the app, but they said it was an error.) Suites supposedly are closed for maintenance. Bit surprising the deluxe room was unavailable as Titanium upgrade - hotel didn't seem that full. Will see if that's just the hotel playing tricks with upgrade availability or not with more reviews coming in in the coming months.

Breakfast voucher was for a pretty plain continental breakfast with assorted breads, fruit, juice, yogurt. Upgrade to meat options for $10.

Room was nicely appointed albeit a little small (less than a month old) but multiple pillows were stained with dirt and makeup and AC was working on and off. I went downstairs and they put us into a new room pretty quickly and were very apologetic. Beds were comfortable, toiletries were nice. I'm not docking them anything for the pillow/ac issues as it happens. Front desk people were very good.

The public space is well appointed, there's a huge grass area which seemed odd considering the pool was TINY. There were three other families there and the pool seemed packed because of it. Wish they put together a nicer/larger pool since it is a Le Meridien. The Courtyard a couple miles away has a bigger pool.

The one real qualm I had was the valet fee. Arcadia is suburbia, this hotel is surrounded by nothing except empty land and parking lots. The fact that you're forced the valet is kind of ridiculous since space is not at a premium. i understand it's a luxury brand (already a weird location for a Le Meridean) but WOOF $27 is a lot for an unnecessary valet service.

The Marriott has opened some nice hotels in the SGV recently to cater to the locals with visiting families and The Le Meridien is definitely one of the nicer ones, but I feel like a few things are missing to put it past staying at the newish Sheraton in San Gabriel with the pricing being higher here. Time will tell!

I had a wonderful stay here for the anniversary with my bf. The hotel is brand new and pretty, it's about 10-15 minutes drive from old town Pasadena and Huntington Library. Compare to 626 area the price is good for the quality of the room and service. The front desk girl Minh who helped us to checking-in was super friendly, she introduce the services & amenities in the hotel and made the check-in process smooth and easy. There is no tea or coffee in the room, how ever they offer free morning tea and coffee in first floor. Parking was valet only $27, no self parking available, but it's understandable. Didn't get chance to check the bar and restaurant, will defiantly come back and check them out. Highly recommend for couple. (the restroom is opened space for the 1 king bed room lol )

We stayed at Le Meridien for 3 nights while visiting California for Universal Studios. I chose this property because it was less than 30 minutes away from Universal, in a great area with shopping/mall/restaurants and priced at a very reasonable rate.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful from the lobby to the rooms. I had a good laugh when I saw the shower as it was the same black square tile and light grey grout that I chose for my custom shower design at my home a few years ago. I appreciated rainfall showerhead with the separate detached shower head as well.

Very comfortable plush pillows/bedding, TV placed right in front of the bed (it always slightly annoys me when the TV is placed off to the side of the bed, it's the little things LOL). I also appreciated that a room key is required at the elevator to go to your floor.

A few things to note: The rooms do not have coffee machines but instead free (and delicious) coffee with all of the fixings is offered in the lobby, which I honestly prefer over the questionable room machines. Only two towels/wash clothes are provided in the room, but staff was great and provided a couple more upon request. This hotel is also valet only which is clearly advertised in multiple places before you book the room (worth noting since I heard more than one person complaining about the valet-only parking).

Staff is great, from the cleaners to the valet to the desk, all of our staff interactions were great. Valet even went above and beyond for me when I was trying to find a luggage cart when I was checking out. He looked on every floor and delivered a cart to my room when he found one! They also help you with your luggage if you need it.

Clean entrance with traditional “California” hours for bar, restaurant, and food service.

The “Classic Room” concept is European style with open access to shower, sink, and toilet, as Europeans do not stink when they use the bathroom. I’m curious to discover the non-classic room designs…

The hotel elects only to operate one of the two elevators, assuming to be saving on maintenance and refuses to repair damage or remove stains from the white interior fabrics, which was an idiotic selection given Marriott’s current lack of upkeep.

Service was fine enough, except for the Gen Z supervisor, sorry, “member of leadership,” who, after forcing her pregnancy upon me and my conversation, struggled with the concept of words and the difference between supervisor and director and failed to provide a manager to discuss the exorbitant drink prices and overall bar strategy.

Jeffreydickinson, it seems like there were certain aspects you enjoyed about your stay, such as the clean entrance and California-style service hours. However, your feedback regarding our room concept, elevator usage, interior fabrics, and the interaction you had with a team member indicates some room for improvement. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and satisfied, and we regret that we didn't fully accomplish this. Rest assured, your comments are crucial in helping us update and enhance the guest experience. While we work on addressing your concerns, we still hope to welcome you back to give us another chance to serve you better.

The hotel is very clean and beautiful. As one of the newer hotels in the area, a great feature is that a room key is required to use the elevator.

Valet is required and self-parking is not available. The most outstanding feature and what really made this trip memorable is the exceptional service provided at the valet by Scott and Jorge. Upon arriving to the entrance of the hotel, they were so welcoming and friendly. Their service highlighted the beginning of an amazing experience and relaxing ambience at the hotel.

There is live music by the bar which was so unique and great. It is a great place to hang out with friends, enjoy live music, and have a couple of drinks.

We started at the hotel for two night over July weekend. Hotel is brand new, and everything is new. Rooms are super clean and staff is friendly. Hotel has a gym and small pool. Cons: pool is not heated and too small, they allow outside guest to use it which gets crowded. Valet is $21 but they don’t have option to self park, it was a bit inconvenient to call every time for a car and if you forgot charger then it is another wait. Room design: bathroom sliding door has space when closed all the way and one can see it, almost no privacy. Also, there is no rods for hand towel. Overall, we had great relaxing stay and definitely will come back!!

Stayed here for a two day staycation as an alternative to the Westin Pasadena (which was cost-prohibitive that particular weekend). Very pricy along with mandatory valet parking for $27 a day. Person at the front desk checking us in was very busy on the phone while serving us; not a great way to start the stay. Noticed on the folio afterward that it charged us over $5 for a bottle of water in the room that was marked complimentary. Cool looking, modern bathroom and nice walk in shower, though very limited counterspace for two people. Nothing walkable as far as restaurants or cool hangouts to go to, but you can drive to the big Santa Anita mall for various restaurant options. It was generally clean and felt safe, but I probably would not stay here again unless I had a need for a nice hotel near the Santa Anita racetrack and only if the room rate was much lower.

We appreciate your constructive feedback from your staycation experience. We note your concerns about the pricing and added costs such as valet parking. We apologize for any mixed signals regarding in-room provisions and will ensure clearer communication in the future. While we understand that our team member at the front desk may have seemed preoccupied, we want to assure you that our guests are our priority. We're pleased you found the bathroom design appealing and the location safe, but we regret if the nearby amenities didn't meet your expectations. Your comfort and satisfaction are our utmost priority, thus we hope we get another chance to meet and exceed your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions.
