Ok, not easy to find and can be busy and a bit slow but the breads are well worth the wait! Inside the restored Carleton Hotel which looks amazing. You can see from the photos they use some of the the freshest, highest quality ingredients. No low carb diets allowed!

This is a nice central location for wine tasting in the Paso area. It is a more reasonable price than the choices in Paso. it reminds me of a hotel I stayed at in Paris, but with bigger rooms. The rooms are nice, with coffee makers, refrigerators, wine glasses and a corkscrew. The price is very reasonable mid week. The...

When I Googled "Motels/Hotels in Atascadero, a picture of the Carlton popped up and I couldn't resist: Old world charm in a day of sleek, modern no-frills accommodations. The building is beautifully restored inside and out. The adjoining bakery adds to the allure. Just around the corner is another coffee shop and used bookstore. Heaven!

We stayed 2 nights at the Carlton during our wine tours of the region. Beds were comfortable, rooms large and bathrooms renovated in marble and glass. Easy walk to restaurants at night. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Carlton Hotel the night before visiting the Cal Poly SLO campus with our son. We weren't expecting much from this little hotel in a small town, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our stay there. The room was spacious, clean and elegant. The bathroom was very large and the toilet had its own sliding door...

This elegant hotel on the original El Camino Real is a treasure. Built in the late '20's and lovingly restored and totally refurbished by its current owner, the hotel is immaculate and spacious with a cozy fire and comfortable chairs waiting in the lobby. Our room was on the courtyard level, perfect for our afternoon wine and cheese (which we...

Fabulous Staffs efforts are hindered by room neglect. TV remote broken & Bath Towels feel like sandpaper. Why is Restaurant Closed? There are several Motels down the street at less than 1/2 the price that do a better job in the room.

Hello Don, We are sorry you were unhappy with your stay and we appreciate your feedback. I wanted to take a moment to address some of your concerns. Regarding the TV remote- sometimes the batteries in remotes will die, and while we check every TV prior to check-in, sometimes the battery will die out after the fact. We will look...

Booked direct with the hotel, Mary Jane was lovely and excited about her property. Just a shame she didn't mention there are NO amenities at the hotel. No bar, no restaurant, no room service...no ambience! The room was nice - but nothing special, the bathroom was nice - but again nothing specatcular! The promise of French antique furniture is a...

Templeton is a quiet town. So when we got there late at night tired from a 6 hour drive through L. A. It would have been nice to have room service but they currently do not have a restaurant or bar on site so no room service , bell hop or on site parking. Only 30 spots available across the...

Hello there, We are sorry you did not enjoy the amenities at our hotel. The one time $15 resort fee we charge is used to cover some of the specialty items and services we offer - handmade Italian linens on the beds, jetted spa tubs and high end Gilchrist and Soames bath products in the restrooms, coffee/teas in the rooms,...
