Do not waste your money here. The breakfast was awful and we had to eat in our rooms like prisoners. There was no overnight service, the room was dirty and musty and the staff (front office) was pretty much useless. It was basically like an over $400 camping trip. Actual camping would have been better. Never again!

We booked this through Expedia for Dec 12th, 2020 and when we walked in we noticed a lint roller on top of the dresser with hair and pieces of cilantro on it. My husband thought that was weird so we pulled back the comforter on the bed and noticed hair tucked away under the pillow, we then knew the bed was lint rolled and the sheets were NOT cleaned. I then called down to the office and Jake was kind enough to bring us sheets and we changed out the sheets and threw the comforter on the ground. Since we are going through a pandemic we wanted to make sure our room was cleaned as in the light switches, bathroom handle, door handle, remote...etc. So, my husband being a retired military vet. he brings a tactical blacklight around with him and he quickly turned off the lights and that room lite up like a christmas tree! The light switch and bathroom had smeared finger prints everywhere. The remote was filthy and there was white liquid all over the walls by the lamp and chair. I then got on the phone with Expedia and was told they would talk to the manager and see what they can do for us. They came back stating the manager wasn't in and would fight this for us on getting back our money. We have been denied 4 times for a refund, the manager hasn't reached out at all to us. I spoke to Angela and she was very kind, but, was unable to help as too. She said she would have the manager call us back and still NOTHING. I then called Expedia again and was told AGAIN that this hotel refuses to refund us our money. We slept on a towel on top of a bed in an dirty room and they won't refund us our $120! I don't ever leave bad reviews, but, I gave this hotel a chance to make it good with us and denied each time. I plan on now posting on every single social media site about this hotel and how they treat their customers and how disgusting their rooms are. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel before. Save your money and DO NOT GET A ROOM HERE!

This motel is dog friendly ($20/night) with a small dog park. It is in good condition and our room was clean and friendly with a microwave and refrigerator. Had a table and 2 chairs. Chairs are hard if you spend any time in them. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was hot ommlet and bacon one day and hot scrambled eggs and sausage the next. Staff was pleasant at both check in and check out.

My husband and I stay at Best Western hotels several times a year. We were very frustrated with our experience here, in fact it was the worst we have had out of all of the BWs we have been to. Everything was fine when we checked in (although I wish the woman at the front desk were wearing a mask). However, we were woken up every 45 minutes to an hour by a loud screeching/whistling sound. It lasted ALL NIGHT, leaving us exhausted to continue our move up to northern California the next morning. When I called the front desk asking for a refund, the woman acknowledged that the room above us had been placed "on hold" due to a pipe issue and that she thought it was wind going through the pipes. She said she would have to leave it to the general manager as to whether we got a refund. Despite that the single service we needed from the BW was not med (a nights sleep), the general manager refused to refund us our money. The woman at the front desk, however, did give us a discount. There are a lot of hotels in Atascadero. I highly recommend not choosing this one.
