Detailed Reviews
Keep going down the road, if you can. We had planned on staying in Truckee, but because of a nearby fire, Truckee was just so smoky we decided to go on. Auburn rv was the next closest so we were happy to stop there. That was the end of our happiness. First off, we walked in to find the desk man sitting in the recreation area watching tv. I think we irritated him because he had to get up and help us. He was less than helpful and acted so put out to even find a spot for us. He made it quite clear that they are the only game in town so take it or leave it. And be aware no discounts, no good Sam, AAA, senior, again, take it or leave it. The park is pretty and well kept. A lot of trees and shady spots but the roads are very narrow and the spots are quite small. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

+1
The Auburn Gold Country RV Park was a pleasant surprise for a weekend get away. Just up the road in Auburn and just a couple blocks from the supermarket, Target, etc.
The management team was very friendly and helpful on the phone and during our arrival. Everything was ready, gave us our check in package and showed us on a map where we were headed.
Some of the locations are asphalt while others are crushed rock bed...but those have a concrete patio beside each of those spaces. Very clean all weekend long, lawn and landscape was green, neat and trimmed. The pool was clean and the spa hot and the jets worked great! They have a small monkey bar play ground for the little ones as well as a fire pit.
They have tent camping area as well as a couple of those little kamping cabins. I believe it was a chain campground at one time because it's on KOA Way.

A spring storm on Dinner Pass forced us to spend three unplanned days at this RV Park. The location was easy to access and the staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated having a place to stay! There were areas close by to take our dogs on long walks.

We made reservations online where a phone number was required but after spending the next day driving to this place we found that they were under construction. The new manager was nice at first but after getting our signature and assigning us our spot he true colors surfaced once we went down to our spot and found open trenches with backhoes and jackhammers going and returned to the front desk to tell him this would not work for us. You would think he would be understanding but instead, the guy blew up on me stating that he would not give us a refund. He's even gone so far as lying to the credit card company to secure his refusal which in my mind is nothing more than stealing. We've been full time Rving for the last 6 months but have never encountered this kind of treatment so therefore we would not recommend it, only advise to go else where. How they've managed to stay in business with this kind of customer care is beyond us but if you'll notice, you cant do a review on their own website so this is probably one of the ways. Home Depot is across the street and other Big Box stores around with large parking lots or the fair grounds and State Parks just down the road with full hook-ups. Their not only friendlier and more scenic but cheaper

We came to town for a wedding and reserved here. The staff was extremely responsive and very professional and understanding when a miscommunication occurred. The park is well maintained and clean.
The spaces are easy to access, the restrooms clean and the pool area is lovely. We availed ourselves of the laundry room, which had multiple washers and dryers, some which took coins and others credit cards. There was also an iron and board for use.
We made our travel plans a year in advance however this park only takes reservations a few months in advance so we set a reminder in our calendar and making a reservation using both online and telephone services.

I rented a space for 6 days and my motorhome broke down the day we were leaving. Week later and still waiting for parts. I know because of the short notice that I would not receive a refund for at least part of the time. Later found out notice is 7days. So manager said no refund unless spot gets rented. Checked internet several times and space type was booked several days.
He refunded one day.
Anyway they are correct by their policy so renter beware. If you have a problem they do not care !!!

We (full timers) paid for # 8, a premium spot, for one month. When we had a personal issue come up that required us to leave, we spoke with Lenny were told there are “no refunds”. We told him okay, that we understood, but that we might return to use the last of the month of our contracted/unused days on our space. When we went to check out our space before returning and found it occupied. When questioned about this we were quickly offered a $98.00 refund for what he said was the two days our spot had been occupied and that they would be leaving the next day. We called again the next day to check on our spot and were then told that there was a spot for us...just not the space we paid for. Seems to be a bit of double dipping and a lack of candor as to what he was doing and how we were being treated, some honesty would have been appreciated. So based on this we cannot recommend this park.

This place is very clean and well landscaped. The roads are newly paved and the infrastructure is in good order. The owner was flexible with our arrival time and very cordial when we called. We were very happy to stay here!

Great staff! The manager is very friendly and if you catch him in the fruit Grove he will share some of the most delicious white nectarines I have ever had. The pool, bbq area, and restrooms were very clean.

This Park is a favorite of ours, it’s kept in excellent shape and the privacy hedges and fences is another great touch they did this past year, it gives you a nice sense of privacy in your Site. Love the new Manager!!
