I have stayed here many times over the years... The staff is always Very Friendly!!! The hotel however has become a little bit rundown/Dated, worn down decor inside the rooms and also the outside of the Hotel. I still like staying here because of the location, The friendly staff, the decent complementary breakfast and the price is usually reasonable. with some up-grades and some fixing up, this could be a pretty darn good Hotel... I still like it and would stay here again.. I prefer to say in the main building on the 2nd or 3 floor above the Lobby. * Tends to be much quieter than the other two separate buildings.

Looks can be deceiving! There wasn't anything major wrong with the room, but a lot of small things. Little holes in the blackout curtains, very slow Wifi to be unusable. Very old and worn out furniture & fixtures. Safe was inoperable. At least breakfast was OK - it was as advertised and the AC worked. It was not a pleasant room to stay in, and not worth the money. If you want a step above an economy hotel, pony up a few more bucks and stay somewhere else nicer. You don't get what you pay for here.

I booked this place as a stop over for a ski trip to Tahoe. Didn't want to do the whole route after work. The traffic was not bad and reached here just before 9PM. Was expecting poor conditions as the rate I paid for it was very low. The room was good, clean and with all amenities. The free hot breakfast was excellent! The room was quiet even though this place is close to the busy I-80 freeway. Our room was in a building at the back.

we booked 2 rooms on 7/23/2021, we got to the hotel around 5:00PM. since we had been flying all day and had a event that night we went up to get ready and the showers were ice cold. When asking the front desk we were told it was from everyone using the water it must of run out. That night we got back from our event and water was ice cold. once again asked the front desk and the girl was rude and said she had just gotten there she would look into it. we asked if maybe the water heater needed to be checked, she was of no help. Next morning same thing, this time is was unbearable where the water hurt. on the way out (check out) we mentioned again and the staff was rude, and said the water heater went out, we asked for some type of compensation as we had asked the day before and they didn't seem to care. I have now called to speak to the manager 3 times with no return call, he is never working and his voicemail box is full. I have spoken to a Betty and a Tom, but again no manager ever on site or returning my calls. if I don't hear back today i will be disputing my credit card transaction for the full amount as this is ridiculous and seems they could care less about their guests! i waited to leave this review (as well as i will leave it everywhere else i can) in hopes i would be given a call and try to rectify this situation, but seems useless at this point.

Don't stay here- it was smelly. We are locals and my husband just needed a couple nights here and we really were saddened. This hotel could do really well if the owners cared for it better and cleaned the smell up. Also, there was a cheaper better hotel nearby he moved to on his third night. To be fair, he did not say anything about it and just left as he felt ill from the smell, and found the smell was not just in his room, but on the top floor and other places as well. He did not want to stay or switch rooms.

Room was full of roaches, tubs were full of pubic hair. Outdated furniture and TV had a late 1980s vibe. When I complained they moved me into a room with a smaller bed, no toilet paper or shampoo, broken lock on the front door, and black spots on the comforters. Staff was rude Dee, Betty and Bonnie all rude. Manager who was there in the morning was rude and uncaring too. Punished me and threatened me with no refund because I reported them to Choice. I will be reporting to the BBB and state attorney general.

We stayed at the Rodeway Inn In n Auburn CA n May 19 221. We requested a ground floor room as my husband walks with a cane. We walked into the room and it was not made up at 5pm but it was filthy. We went back a nd were told that there were no ground floor rooms. They had an elevator and we moved to the second floor. The room TV did now work and half of the lights didn't work. Here was no breakfast. Not even a garb and go bag. When left I told the Reservation clerk that l expected a reduction in the rate which he gave me.He we also a good man. The place was run down and needed up grading. We will not stay there again.

Service was great. Bed was good. Hotel was not very clean. Good location but traffic noise. Breakfast was OK. Get a room in front building. Good water in front office. AC was very efficient. All in all, the hotel has been maintained very well over time.

What a dump! The carpet and furniture were disgusting. The faucet was broke and the water wouldn't turn off completely. When I told the front desk, they said they would fix it but that didn't happen. We had to go to Auburn for my husbands fathers funeral. The rodeo was in town and some big race in the canyon. This was the only room available in Auburn. Now I know why.

The customer service is horrible. Had two rooms booked with my credit card, months in advance, for our sons wedding, only to find, they gave away one of our rooms. Took a day, and several phone calls, but they were able to get us our room back. My daughter was arriving before I was, so I called and asked if she could check in without me...the manager FREAKED OUT! "WE can't do that, it's not her card etc.!!" I tried to tell him it's OK, OK, I will be there and he just kept right along complaining, not letting me get a word in to try to explain it was ok, and THEN when I tried to tell him not to worry about it, he said "What do you want, I told you I would do it?" HUH? He accused ME of being rude! I work in customer service and I would be FIRED if I EVER spoke to my customers the way he spoke to me. When we checked in, he said, he THOUGHT he had four rooms for us, but now he didn't and I tried to explain, we only need two rooms, and he looked at me and said "I'm not talking with you, I will speak to your husband!" Then he told my husband, "Why don't you come in tomorrow and we can have a chat about this! What the hell is wrong with this guy. We seriously think he's on something, he kept twitching and his mood was swinging like CRAZY! We finally got checked in. Had a beautiful time at our son't wedding, and when we went to check out, the girl at the desk asked where we got our room keys from? My husband told her Your Manager RICH gave them to us when we checked in! He wouldn't come out to help her because he said All I wanted to do is argue? ABOUT WHAT?? WHY?? This guy was "OUT THERE" Is this guy for real? I didn't have a problem!! He screwed up and put someone else's name under our room and THEN he wanted us to pay for it PLUS our two rooms?? Said it must have been someone in our party?? We DID NOT know this person, nor did they stay in our room...WE DID!! He kept holding his head and then he would smile and then he got angry and OMG what a winner. First he told us he wouldn't give us a receipt because we didn't pay for it, but the girl showed him the signed receipt from our charge card, and THEN he told us he would need some time to straighten it out to be able to give us a receipt. Straighten WHAT out? We paid for two rooms, give us a receipt for two rooms! So we took our daughter to the airport and came back hours later to find he either was hiding in the office, or he had left. And did NOT leave a receipt for us. I checked with our bank and he charged us multiple times. I hope he gets fired, I know there were others complaining about how rude and disrespectful he was! The room itself was ok. The maid tried to walk in twice, just opened the door, no knocking or anything! We even had the opened soap from the people before us!! WOW! I will NEVER forget this trip! Bed was ok, Noting fancy but it WAS the Quality Inn after all! NEVER AGAIN!!! Think twice before booking!
