Upon arrival, the staff were extremely friendly and so helpful to check me in and answer my questions about getting around the Avalon. The room was fresh and clean and there were beautiful views of Avalon outside our window. The staff greeted us and gave us a warm goodbye upon checking out. Thank you for keeping this hotel so pristine!

We stayed one (Sunday) night with a couple of friends. We had adjacent rooms on the fifth floor with a shared balcony and sea views and we couldn't have been more satisfied. The hotel's position uphill from the beach results in great views, especially from the roof terrace on the sixth floor. The hotel itself is charming with a slightly...

An older hotel situated on a small hill a couple of blocks back from the waterfront, we stayed for one night (Thursday) and enjoyed ourselves. We opted for a room with a balcony - recommended because the rooms are not large and we like to chill before heading out for the evening. The room had all you could ask for...

Stephanie, Thank you for the kind words. We try to provide everything needed for a nice stay in a resort town. Really appreciate comment on coffee as we provide it and it is easily accessible with the elevator. I really appreciate comments on staff and will pass on. Agree on small hill, but that is what gives us the great...

We spent one night at Hotel St. Lauren for our son's 19th birthday. We had two rooms. We dropped our luggage off early. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. We didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms due to checking out the local foods, shopping and movie. We appreciated the neat old feel to the...

This is a bit delayed, but my boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary trip over Labor Day weekend. It's in a good location, a couple of blocks up from the main street and was clean. The staff were friendly and they were nice enough to give us complimentary champagne with a nice note for our anniversary. Our room...

Nice stay at St Laura. AWESOME views and a nice landing on the 6th floor of Avalon. Only two negatives comment is the bathroom floor needs regrouting. The grout has chipped away and mildew is developing. Also in-room coffee should would be nice.

This hotel is a cute hotel up on a hill. It is walking distance from Catalina Express dock area but be prepared to walk up hill with your luggage. It is manageable but I would inquire with the hotel for a shuttle or take a taxi if you unable to walk/hike approx. 1.5 miles. My daughter and I are pretty...

The St. Lauren is an older hotel but the location is great. It's up on the hill with an amazing view of the island from some of the rooms and their patio on the 6th floor. There were 3 of us and we just stayed one night so it was perfect for us, we had a king bed and a...

The photos on the website, in my opinion don't represent the condition of this hotel. I do understand it's an historical building. Although we found it to in need a very good cleaning and in need of a paint job and general cosmetic repairs.
