The hotel itself was adorable, having to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs to a room literally the size of a walk in closet with a view of the building next door which had a resident that terrified me made this hotel a nightmare. I wasnt able to sleep and didnt feel safe. There was a man in...

The Catalina Island Inn does not have an elevator and all of the hotel's literature (including confirmation emails) and our reservations operators remind guests of this fact at the time of booking. We have people to assist guests with luggage going upstairs, if asked. Did you notify our staff of your concerns? Certainly a frightening experience should have been reported...

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. I recommend the Harbor View rooms with a balcony. They are larger, with comfy beds and a nice size bathroom. It is convenient to great restaurants,Vons and Descanso Beach. I would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed at Catalina Island Inn for two nights. The room was small but had everything we needed and was beautifully done. It felt very much like a room in a European hotel, which we liked very much. The folks at the front desk were unfailingly helpful and pleasant, and the hotel is perfectly placed on a...

Thanks for your review. We do have that European "pensione" feel in our standard Queen bed non-view rooms. As to the Von's fans on the neighboring building--- we apologize for the noise and inconvenience. It's something we hope to remedy! If Avalon calls you back we hope you'll "come home" to the Catalina Island Inn!

We booked the Catalina Island Inn for our first visit to the Island. The building itself is a bit older (as most on the island are), but the rooms were upgraded, nicely designed and clean. Friendly staff, nice little breakfast bar in the morning and centrally located. We would definitely stay there again.

The inn was well priced, located in the middle of everything, and the staff couldn't have been better. We had to sign a contract on a house and the owners couldn't have been more helpful expediting the process to use the fax machine and provide nice feedback on what to do on the island...wouldn't definitely stay there again.

Thanks for your great review and kind comments. Our owners work side by side with our staff. Each are willing to spring into action to assist guests. Accessing the hotel's high-speed wi-fi, printing confirmations and sending faxes--- we do what we can to be your island business center and concierge service. We hope to see you again soon at the...

My girlfriend and I rented one of the cruise ship rooms for a short (3-night) stay and we were very pleased. Yes, the room was the size of one on a cruise ship. Yes, the bathroom was small. But we kind of figured it would be. The place is clean, friendly, and very close to everything in town. Breakfast was...

Thanks for sharing about our very efficient Cruise Ship Twin room at the Catalina Island Inn. Our downtown area in Avalon is only one square mile (smaller than the parking lot at Dodger Stadium) so we know how to give you what you need for a comfortable stay and to be "on your way" to adventure. All of our accommodations...

My husband and I stayed here for a belated honeymoon, and we didn't want to leave! The room was so cozy. The bed was really comfortable - so much that it was hard to leave, but I couldn't resist spending as much time as I could exploring the island. The hotel was so centrally located that we walked everywhere! There...

I stayed for three nights in Room 308. It is advertised as a nonview room, but just over the rooftops of the Von's and the next building is a view of the water, great for seeing the sunrise. The hotel is kept up nicely. Just a few things to note. One, on their website we were given the impression that the rooms had hardwood floors.
