My wife and I had little trip to catalina Island, before we get on Island, we did some research for the hotel on the island, we usually prefer stay in some fancy hotels, but this time we changed our mind, one of the reason because there are not much very fancy hotel on the island, so we booked the Casa...

This was an odd little hotel with rooms badly in need of renovation. The floors are cold tile and we could hear the people above us walking sounding like a pack of elephants. There are no elevators so if you have any luggage it is a haul up many sets of tiled stairs. The ice machine made loud noises all...

We were really lucky to find this delightful hotel for our first trip to Catalina Island. It's the perfect location for an easy walk from the ferry and everything else in Avalon. The property is nestled tightly against the hill with great views of the bay from the upper floors. It's not your standard box style building. There's stairwells leading...

This was a family vacation for my son's 21st birthday. We had a room with 2 queens (the cost was around 190 after taxes) a small fridge and tiny bathroom. There is a tiny lobby on the first floor where they serve a small continental breakfast ( hard boiled eggs, pastry, juice, coffee, etc. ) There wasn't a microwave or coffee...

My wife really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mariquita. We thought it was a really great deal for such a wonderful hotel. The location was very close to the Catalina Express and was next to everything. Casa Mariquita is next door to the new museum and across the street from the tour plaza. Our room (18) was clean and cozy....

Big spacious rooms, clean, well lit, and comfortable beds. The hotel is right next door to the art museum (which is conveniently a bus stop that can get you most anywhere on...

Researched this hotel on Trip Advisor and the reviews were spot on. The room was clean and comfortable. We booked the peek-a-boo queen and was able to view the hills and sea. The hotel is nicely tucked off the main drag. Will book again.

Nothing is far from anything here, but we realized quickly, you don't want to be on Crescent St, where the noise can interfere with your enjoyment. We were a few blocks back, just up from the museum. Ask for a room on an upper floor - you'll have to walk the steps, but it's quiet and most have some view....
