Based on my room, you wouldn't want to pay very much for this hotel. But if you can get a good rate and you don't need much, it may work for you. The hotel is just off the main waterfront, up a moderate hill. I had a room in the interior of the building. Other rooms on the exterior had...

Price included roundtrip ferry fare, so was very reasonable, but room was awful. Sliding doors on closet did not slide, air-conditioner was ancient and sounded like a generator, bed was terrible, bathrrom furniture was old and falling apart, grounds were messy with junk in view. Seems to be run by a group of young people. Telephone system is atrocious...you have...

Having stayed on Catalina Island a few times, I found this particular hotel to be very friendly to scuba divers. And since the boat ride is included in the price, it makes this an even better deal than some of the higher priced hotels. We stayed in a smaller room with a queen size bed, in the back portion of...

I took my husband to Catalina Island for his birthday and wanted it to be a special trip, so I got a helicoptor package that included staying at the Seaport Village Inn. I looked on the website and the photos seemed like it was a clean, nice place. Boy was I wrong! Not only was it not clean or nice,...

My wife and daughter stayed at Seaport Village in July of 2007. The accomodations were "adequate" for the price we paid for a Catalina property. And, the staff was very friendly - until there was a problem. I have been in the travel business for over 26 years and I consider us "seasoned" travelers. After reviewing my wife's bill -...

After I booked this hotel, I read some of the reviews and was a little worried. However, our experience was excellent. We booked a boat package and a one night stay. The package included roudtrip boat tickets for two, champagne upon arrival, hot breakfast in the morning, and the room. We paid 190. The boat ride alone is $30 per...

I stayed for 2 nights and left 5 parfum bottles in my room in a gold box. Called the next day after check out when I realized I left them. I specifically said right where I left them on Monday the day after I checked out. No one had checked into the room yet. 2 girls named Denise and Lauren...

We upgraded to a queen room with a partial ocean view and it was worth it. We had a great view from our shared balcony and since we were in an end unit with no one in the next unit it was like a private balcony. The staff was friendly and did a good job of cleaning the room everyday....

First of all, what you need to realize is that Avalon is Old. The city is old, the buildings are old. The essence of the Island is old and untamed. Knowing that now, but not knowing that at the time, we booked our reservations online. Our Hotel, situated off of Crescent and Maiden, Crescent being one of the main drags,...

Website photos are misleading. My husband and I booked a 4-day stay here in the off-season. $254 for 3 nights which included the boat trip over, free breakfast, champagne upon arrival and a free shuttle from the boat terminal. We chose a standard room because on the website they didn't look much different compared to the more expensive rooms. We...
