The location, the views, the architecture and history, the grounds and sculpture - everything is wonderful at the Meadows. It's not ultra-luxe but instead (true to its Bauhaus roots) functional and perfect. Food is excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Great for families and

Hello, Snowmass Mountain is 3.2 miles away, and is a 8-15 min drive (depending on traffic), and a 1 hour and 6 min. walk. Our resort, has a hotel shuttle that will take our guests to Aspen Mountain for skiing. Aspen public bus transportation (accessible in proximity of our resort) is free of charge, and there are direct routes to the surrounding slopes (Highlands, Buttermilk, Snowmass). The 4-mountain-connector is the name of the direct mountain routes and you can find the details on the RFTA transit website. Aspen Skiing Company also has shuttles that transport guests between mountains. I hope this answers your question. If you need further information, please feel free to contact us.

Hello Jane; The Aspen Meadows provides 24 hour shuttle service on a loop through downtown Aspen, with departures every 30 minutes and stops at the Ruby Park transportation center, the Aspen Gondola Plaza, and the Hotel Jerome on main street. If the FIS Mogul Competition is at Highlands, the two options are to ride the shuttle to Ruby Park and take the Hightlands Shuttle from there, or to exit our shuttle at 7th street and get on the Highlands shuttle at the 8th Street stop. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it! Note - Aspen/Snowmass provides free bus service to all four ski resorts. It is easy to get around Aspen without a car!

They have a free shuttle to the mountain that runs on the half hour and the resort is only a Mike away so it's a 5 min drive.

Good Morning, Thank you for asking! March is fairly well known in colorado for great skiing and snow. Depending on the season, we can have record snowfalls over those date ranges. The ski season in Aspen goes until around April 18th. The Aspen Meadows Resort is roughly 1 mile away from downtown. We have complimentary shuttles that leave here by request every half hour. It is a 5 minute shuttle ride. Over the dates you requested we have no scheduled construction of any kind. The closest Airport to our hotel is ASE (Aspen Pitkin County) and we also provide complimentary airport pickups should you choose to book with us. As for altitude sickness, this affects everyone differently but the key to getting over it is aspirin and staying hydrated. You can do a lot to prevent it by making sure you are extra hydrated prior to flying in. Start chugging water a week prior to your trip and don't do anything crazy during your first day at altitude! We hope to see you soon!
