This was the letter I wrote this morning to the Inn Management at large: Good morning. I am writing to let you know about our most recent experience at the inn. We were greeted by Crystal (forgive me I was tired but I believe that was her name) on Thanksgiving, November 24th in the early evening. What a pleasant surprise...

Clean, historic, charming. Great Southern hospitality. Appreciated the ice machine on the back porch. A short walk to town and restaurants/shops. Comfy bed, good breakfast and toiletries in bathroom. Lovely stay.

This is not our first stay at the Coombs House, but the first since they joined the Conde Nast group. While we enjoyed our nicely decorated room and the amenities of the hotel, it sadly did not reach the expectations we had from prior trips. It was the little things, like breakfast being ordered from a menu of two entrees...

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast casseroles were very good as well as fresh fruit, muffins, breads, etc. Afternoon cookies were also very good. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. We had a quiet, peaceful stay. Only complaint was high step up to bathroom which was tricky for the elderly to manage. Walking distance to wonderful shops in town and...

We stayed one night in the Tupelo Room and it was "OK", but honestly more quaint than luxurious. The bed was alright, we slept well. The bathroom was a climb up and jump down being about 9 inches higher than the main room. Old tub/shower combo, strange vanity setup where you could not even plug in the blow-dryer and slippery,...

We came over from Panama City in our 1963 VW Beetle for the Autos and Oysters show! What a fabulous weekend! The Coombs House is lovely and quaint and we stayed in an upstairs room with a four Windows view! We were especially thrilled that we were able to bring our doodle and belty along for the weekend! The house...

From the moment we arrived we received a friend.y welcome. A wonderful style house close to the centre of town. Rooms are amazing, four poster beds, so high off the floor there are steps up ! Very quaint and old fashion. Verandas off the rooms, a great place to relax. Breakfast was wonderful with a variety of things to eat...

The room, staff, food, and overall experience was great. We could walk into the heart of the town to all the funky shops, and wonderful restaurants. Even the weather cooperated. Don't miss papa Joe's!!

People very friendly, great location, but this property is badly in need of restoring, particularly in the Jasmine Room where we stayed. Tiny bathroom, with no place to place things. Shower curtain was falling off of rusted hooks. wood floor was sticky underfoot. Ick!

We were on our way from New Orleans to Miami. Yes, this is a little out of the way, but well worth the drive. Excellent recommendation for dinner, and the breakfast was great. The rooms are charming, and the beds comfortable.
