We love coming to Coombs House for our annual anniversary mini-getaway. The homes and people are so inviting. The area also has a lot to offer with wonderful food, picturesque views and lots of relaxing and fun to be had. I love the Forgotten Coast!
We went to the Coombs House Inn to celebrate our 43rd anniversary with a weekend getaway. After all the rave reviews we were slightly disappointed at the lack of a personal touch. Most B&B's have an on-site owner or hostess to greet you, give you...More
The inn was beautiful. From the outside, we could tell that this was going to be a good experience. The inside of the house is very interesting. The staff was very helpful. Our room (the Heron) was great and we got a wonderful night's sleep....More
Our room (in the main house) was really nicely done and had the wow factor but was undermined by the rug in the centre of the room which was covered in long hairs, fluff, dirt and had clearly not been vacuumed. It totally changed my...More
Room just okay..no coffee cups, etc. water not received each day, front door knob fell off and not replaced. Should pay more attention to details..ie. they asked for birthdays and anniversary dates, kind of expected at least chocolates on our pillow. Owner needs more hands...More

I have a well behaved feline and the charge is $25 per day. I did not take our feline on the visit in December, but I only stayed one evening to check out the place for a future longer visit. I have since talked with the management and received info. I suggest you directly call them. 1-850-653-9199[L] or 1-888-244-8320[TF] I believe the separate 4 unit house next to the Main Coombs house will be ideal. The back unit has a separate galley for cooking where I can place her food etc. and shut that door to the bedroom.A separate living room area with a door I can also shut, will be perfect for my well behaved feline to stay and socialize with us. I usually bring my own covers to put over a couch, when I travel with her on vacation. I also bring a large plastic drop cloth to put down on the floor for her litter area. Unlike dogs that you can put on a leash and travel around town with, I find that if you express your responsible plan with the management, they appreciate you. I also make sure there is an understanding that no maid service will occur without us being present . I believe the management will gladly work with you as they are so friendly. I actually stayed in the back unit I'm describing. Hope this helps.
