This place is terrific. Very professionally organised - if you arrive late, they will have a key waiting for you in a secure location. When we arrived, the cleaning team were finishing off some of the other rooms and graciously allowed us to see what the other suites looked like (of course we preferred ours) Everything is immaculate from the... Of the four available suites, we booked the one bedroom and it was spacious. We enjoyed the balcony and full kitchen. The location was perfectly centered in town and a short walk anywhere. There were 3 of us and the room was supposed to accommodate 4 guests according to the website. Well, in our case, I don't agree. The single... More

We recently stayed in a 2BR suite for a few days and had a good visit. We had previously stayed in one of the smaller units. We arrived a little before the stated check-in time of 3 pm and were told summarily to come back after 3. The person with whom I spoke made no effort to determine if the... More

Wow, this place looked nice on-line, and we were not disappointed--nice furnishings, comfortable bed, nice wooden floors, a TV in the bedroom and living room, a washer and dryer. It really wasn't that expensive considering you could eat all your meals there if you wanted to. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. It was also nice having... More

My husband and I spent the night at the Consulate Suites. What a gem! The cost was a little more than others in the area, but definitely worth it. Imagine our surprise when we opened the door and saw wood floors, high ceilings, beautiful furnishings, a complete kitchen with Vietrie, (Italian dinnerware) extremely clean, and a washer and dryer. It... More

Excellent restoration of historic building. The suite we stayed in (and another we peeked into) were beautifully outfitted with charming details and nice furnishings. The location was ideal and the view outstanding. The weekday rates were very reasonable.

Details make the difference. From gourmet teas and coffee (whole bean) to luxurious soaps, lotions and shampoos (L'Occitane En Provence), the Consulate goes above and beyond. Four unique, impeccably decorated (and immaculately clean) suites sit atop The Grady Market. The two large suites in the front share an expansive balcony overlooking the Apalachicola River. We've stayed in both with other... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the Consulate Suites last March when we visited Apalachicola to plan our wedding. The accommodations are gorgeous and offer a home away from home. We stayed in the Consul, which has two bedroom and two bathrooms and we couldn't believe how much space there is. The décor looks a bit dated in the online... More

I stayed in the Ambassador Suite with my brother and we had a wonderful time. When we first walked in we were amazed at the size of the suite. There was a welcoming basket with goodies and a letter with information on how to contact someone if needed. It had a balcony with a beautiful view of the river! The kitchen... More

My husband and I stayed in the Consule suite in early August. This suite has a shared very large balcony directly facing the water. You can see the balcony when you look at the pictures of the building. Although shared, there is plenty of privacy. Our suite was absolutely beautiful. It was extremely clean, and decorated appropriately for the building.... More

“They have 4 different configurations of apartments. The Ambassador was 1650 SF with 2 bedrooms. That one is the largest. Even the smallest at about 900SF would be awesome. It is not like a hotel...it is an apartment in lovely little gem of a town. You would have to check to see if it has an elevator, we used the stairs”

“All rooms are great, choose what you need for the size of your group. There is no services or swimming pool. Rates may be a little pricey. A good place to relax, go to the beach. Shop, go sight seeing, enjoy the history of Old Florida!”
