We have visited Xanadu probably 13 times now and have another trip planned in two weeks, we just can’t get enough. We love all the new additions that Xanadu has been adding (the hot tub, the bar and so on). But the staff is what keeps us coming back. From the minute you walk in

Folks were great. Our 16 & 14 year old grandsons loved the place. From the pier, to the suana, pool, ocean kayaking and hammock - they loved it. The Tiki bar worked for me. Our rooms were two bedrooms condo configuration w/ large family rooms. The AC was great. My

Hi We would like to know if there are sargassum still on the water?
We are very happy to report that the sargasum is much better than it was and there is currently hardly any on the beaches. At Xanadu we have a seawall in front of our beach which keeps the sea grass away, and we also make sure that our neighbors beach is kept clean every day as well. We can never guarantee what Mother Nature will send us but at present it is not a problem.

The snorkeling is safe and wonderful. Have your resort book you with a company to take you out.

We only ever walked and took taxis because, though I am sure the golf carts are perfectly safe, the driving there made me nervous. The roads are narrow and full of golf carts, cabs, bikers, and pedestrians. One taxi driver told me that in the US there is a right and a wrong side of the street, but in Belize there is just the best side of the street and that is what he drives on. Drivers often weave in and out of slower traffic and around bikes. I was too nervous to drive a golf cart in that, especially after vacation drinking! Town is a totally manageable but sometimes hot walk down the beach.
