These cabanas are so cute, providing a picturesque, rustic, beach/jungle atmosphere that we adored during our stay in Caye Caulker. Advise to bring bug spray for night time, and use the fans provided if you have a room with out AC. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we ordered groceries and they were ready in our room when we arrived. You can even take a dip in the ocean off the end of their dock. We can’t wait to stay again.
Colinda Cabana is a great place to stay on Caye Caulker. It is easy walking/biking distance to the heart of the island, but feels remote and tranquil. Stay in one of the beach-front units if they are available and wake up to the sun coming up over the ocean. I split my stay between the front and a unit in the back with a shaded deck with a hammock. Can’t go wrong with either.
Wonderful place to stay. Juan takes great care of the place and his guests. Easy bike ride to anywhere on the island, and they provide the bikes. Also really enjoyed waking up early to watch the sunrise from the palapa. Would definitely recommend it!
I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Colinda Cabanas. We traveled with a large group (12 total) and I did all the travel arrangements for the entire party. Keri and all staff members were WONDERFUL with helping me make it work! We probably exchanged a couple dozen emails in which they answered all my questions and helped everyone get in the right cabana for them. We all stayed in Garden View cabanas; they were all beautiful. The beachfront was gorgeous, and we spent more time than I thought on the dock and palapa. It was so relaxing and easy to while away the hours there. We used the bikes and kayaks during our time, all were easy to use and return. The cabanas are an easy walk from most of the action on the island; we decided we preferred being off the main drag a little. The walk wasn't long and the bike ride was very short, so it was worth it to have some space between us and the nighttime noise. Half of our group got massages one day during our stay, and the office staff helped set it up. Some of us set up massages on our own with a different company, and the people who went through Colinda were the winners by far! Less expensive and a much better location (right over the water, away from the main streets, at sunset). They had several golf carts waiting for us when we arrived (we didn't even request that) and helped arrange for golf carts for an early morning departure when we left. And for 12 people + bags, this was no small feat! See the photos for everyone piled in at 6:30 AM, using a cart Colinda/the golf cart operator provided for all the bags. We traveled in November 2021, stayed for 3 nights total (wish it were more!), 12 people in 7 cabanas.…
Just love the place. This was our 4th stay, first time since 2018. The new owners made improvements to the dock area, adding more seating, a sea wall and more guest services such as the sale of beer. The staff were helpful with suggestions and advice.
