Stayed in large 2 Bedroom on 2nd floor of new hut. Large living room with ceramic tile floors, free wifi, refrigerator, stove and free bottled water provided as well as excellent A/C. One king and two twin beds. Quite and safe environment. Long pier out into water to layout and enjoy the sun and cool Caribbean breezes.

I strongly recommend this ideal hotel for friends, couples and anyone looking for a relaxing city break. It is located on Caye Caulker island and the only means of transportation is golf carts and bicycles. This hotel provides bikes for your use during your stay and is conveniently located on the ocean and walking distance to restaurants. The hotel also...

From the outside, Barefoot Beach looks idyllic, and the location is wonderful and the staff were great. However, the sewage smell cited by a couple of other reviewers was overpowering, especially on windy days, and the construction project going on next door made it impossible to enjoy the balcony most days. Between the smell and the construction noise, it wasn't...

Hi Guys, I'm so sorry that we didn't get to chat so I could explain the smell! The wonderful Sargasso Seaweed that comes once a year has arrived. It is along the whole beachfront and there is no way to get rid of it until Mother Nature sends it away again. When the wind blows...of course the smell is pushed...

We stayed in one of the huts here and it was a great choice for us - had everything we needed (most importantly excellent air con) except a fridge. Free bikes are a bonus and the private wharf is a great place to chill out. Location is a bit away from everything meaning it is very quiet but an easy...

So happy to have you. Yes, the actual construction is not bad, only the jackhammer part that is thankfully finished now!

The noise from the construction site next to the hotel is quite loud starting from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Sunday. It was that annoying that we couldn't enjoy the deck during the day. We stayed in the "mini hut" located on the back of the property, and when they say mini it is a shoebox! The room...

Yes, the huts are our "affordable stand alone private room". It is not a HOUSE nor is it meant to be. It is a nice modern, clean, comfortable, cheap accommodation for those on a budget that want backpacker type prices but comfort and privacy. The pictures show how small it is. It is just a bedroom with a private bath....

We booked for 5, and ended up staying a full 10 nights here. It was too cozy and secluded to pass up. There is a wide variety of unit styles, not sure if I would've felt the same way about any of the others. Ours was the small cottage style, standing alone, tucked away in a quite and very private...

Don't get me wrong we believe the place is great to stay at. We just recommend that you avoid staying in the side view room because the entire place smelled like raw sewage and it was quite obvious. They tried clearing the drain but the smell came back because the sewage kept backing up and settling in the drain and...

Sorry guys...when you first mentioned the sewage I cleared the drain to be sure it wasn't as issue. I'm so accustomed to the Tropics and the Sargasso Seaweed that I didn't even think about it! But it is here and hopefully it will be gone soon. When it decomposes it leaves us with the lovely smell of sewage. I can...

When you find a place like this, you don´t want to go anywhere. The ocean front suite it´s really in front of the ocean, just 10 steps. Heidi is very nice, also all the staff, very care about us and our needs. The bikes are the best way to move in Key Caulker. Coming back soon.

This was my second time staying here. The staff is very nice and helpful (except the cat that bite me). The room is clean and adequate. Air conditioner was a plus. I stayed in a waterfront room, which was really nice, with a private patio/porch. Perfect for reading and getting out of the hot sun. The bike that came with...

We spent 5 nights at Barefoot Beach in Caye Caulker and couldn't be happier with our choice of island and hotel! We stayed in the Ocean Front room with private shaded patio overlooking the ocean . There is a newly built tiki hut at the end of the dock which has 5 hammocks to lounge in, while the sounds of...
