Didn't stay at Costa Maya but went with Go Green Snorkeling tours. Pepe was great to deal with and our guides Omar and Jabby were fantastic. Omar explained all the fish and coral we were seeing.. they ran an excelkent tour overall and were a pleasurw to be around. I would highly recommend going with them. A real highlight was... More

This was located toward the split on the island, just a few steps in fact! The staff was very accommodating at all times. They have bikes available to borrow and a kayak and canoe. We used the bikes daily while we were staying. We stayed in the cabin above the office - it has the best view to see, probably... More

We spent a few nights in room 5, directly above the office facing the beach and it was great. Perfect location! The room was large with air con and had basic kitchen facilities. The rooftop terrace is excellent and great for watching a sun set!

We were happy with this place, starting with the Seni's prompt email responses to my questions prior to booking. The location is ideal. I had some concerns that there might be a little too much noisy action at night at this end of the island, but that was not the case at all. By dark, it was very peaceful. Costa... More

Just returned from stay here and room and location was perfect. Stayed in room 6 which had a great view and deck. Nice cool breeze with 2 hammocks. Short walk to split. Room was cleaned daily and kept us supplied with towels. Totally furnished with dishes and plenty of hot water. Probably only small negative was room was poorly lit.

Spent 3 nights at Costa Maya and it was great! I researched and picked it based on their good reviews, cost, location on the island (about as close the the split as you can get in a hotel), ocean view. Reserved room 5 above the office as it's the closest to the water. Room isn't fancy but clean and comfortable.... More

My wife and I are travelling overland from Canada to Panama with our dog. We arrived in Belize yesterday and camped at Carazol Twon, where we decided that it would be great to visit if we could find pet friendly accommodations. Tripadvisor listed this hotel as pet friendly, so we used the hotel's booking engine to make reservations, which involved... More

Spent two nights here - would have stayed longer but they were booked. Room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. Right across from the beach and they have a dock you can use for swimming. Canoes and bikes are available free of charge for guests. Staff were friendly.

Travelling as a party of 3, we saw the best and the worst that Costa Maya could offer. One room was vast and modern, with comfortable king-size beds, a fully equipped kitchen and stylish walk in shower. The other was a very basic "old-school" beach hut, with rusty bathroom equipment, and tired (actually exhausted decor). It is in a good... More

Very reasonable, clean & safe. Comfortable bed, quiet air conditioner & refrigerator. Room 8 was small, but big enough when we got organized. Our host Seni was delightful to work with. The 5 gallon jug of water for $5 lasted all week. Great view in all directions from the rooftop patio & enjoyed the hammocks. Tsunami Adventures is located in... More
