Explore the amazing underwater world of Glovers Reef from our comfortable safari-style camp on the furthest reaches of the Belize reef system. This low impact facility is designed to be a comfortable base to explore the amazing setting, but to have a minimal impact to this tropical island-treasure. Our amazing guides will teach you the wonders of sea kayaking and snorkeling, while our resident marine biologist will teach you about the surrounding marine ecology.

We stayed here for 4 days just before Christmas in a family tent. Steve, Mario and Keon were fantastic guides who went over and above to make sure we had the best time. They were also extremely knowledgeable and could tell you the name of almost everything - even the constellations (Steve).
Thanks to "Freddie the cook" the food was amazing, I had been worried that my picky eater children would not like the food but they always found something to eat and loved the fried jacks.
The excursions were varied and easily manageable for the children. We snorkeled, kayaked, paddle boarded, fished and did yoga. The snorkeling was out of this world, so much coral and so much sea life. We were buzzing about it for days!
The whole island was super clean and well managed, including the compost toilets and showers (thanks Alexis and the groundsmen).
Freddie cooked a feast for dinner on Christmas Eve and Santa left us all gifts of hot sauce and jam when we woke in the morning!!!
The whole trip was perfect and really made our holiday.

The location is highly unusual in that you are far out from the coast, yet the waters are fairly calm, and their are many shallow areas even a few miles from the island where you can stand. Island Expeditions is very organized, and offers multiple options for kayaking, snorkeling, and/or fishing every morning and afternoon depending on whether conditions. They have many different destinations to choose from, so can easily adjust based on where conditions are best that day. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Night snorkeling is highly recommended if conditions permit.

Note that you are staying in tents, but the tents contain beds, and they even provide ear plugs in case the wind gets noisy at night!

What a fantastic experience off the grid, we lived simply in tents yet had the best sleep. We shared toilets and showers, meals on long tables discussing the days events and learning about our fellow travellers lives. The food was fantastic, thank you Cgal and Miss Eleanor. The staff were top class, managed ably by Steve, so professional yet so amiable. Guides such as Luis, and Budge, Byron and Ben thank you for sharing your amazingly deep knowledge of the sea and environs. We especially enjoyed the lectures from Luis and Steve and the cultural night shared by Budge and Byron. The snorkelling was superb, the kayaking and sailing enjoyable. I can’t recommend this place more highly, do yourself a favour and visit.

Spent 3 nights at Glover's Reef with my Dad as part of our adventure Belize vacation. It was incredible to be on this little island and they provide a great location and experience. There were 6 other guests there, in addition to us for 8. Luis, Steve and Budge were excellent guides, giving us individual instruction and attention for snorkeling, kayaking, sail kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing, as well as company and entertainment the whole time.
I've been snorkeling for years but never had such complete instruction and actually learned and saw so much more than ever before.
Food great and plentiful. Loved listening to ocean and wind at night- perfect to lull us to sleep after a long day.
Would recommend to anyone interested in adventure in a gorgeous setting.

Amazing adventure! We loved everything about our stay on Glover's Reef with Island Expeditions. The snorkeling was incredible, sailing back to camp in our kayaks, happy hour on the reef (and at camp), delicious meals, comfy beds, yoga on the beach, and the most amazing guides; Budge, Ben and Pedro. "That's what I'm talking about"

We stayed 3 nights; in retrospect we should have stayed longer!! Our boat ride was delayed by high winds (due to a Norther), but when we arrived, Luis and his team immediately arranged for an afternoon snorkel in the lee of the island. The setting is beautiful! We slept well, in spite of initial worries about sleeping in tents; well fed and tired from activities (daily selection tailored to the weather conditions). Highly recommend and hope to return soon!!

This was our 2nd trip with Island Expeditions and I would book a third! The guides are what make their trips special. The education sessions, the way the guides join in on the evening fun.. it all makes for a cultural experience in addition to a tropical getaway. The reefs around Glovers are exceptional and even though we had some rough water, we felt safe the whole time. One a particularly rough day, the guides created a land-based Island Olympics for the guests, since we couldn't be in the water. It was awesome. These trips always attract the most interesting guests too, which makes the trip enjoyable. The food at Glover's was particularly excellent.
Having stayed on 3 different islands, Glover's is the best. The facilities were always clean and the tents were tightened up when the weather arrived. They really take care of everything.

This was a marvellous experience! The base camp accomadation is all tents but very nice ones with an elevated bed and small cupboard. The bathroom facility has pit toilets.,showers and a washing up area.. all very clean and well stocked. Activities varied in part related to weather.. it was a windy few days for our group but we still got into kayak and snorkel daily. Our guides were fantastic but the whole camp is a fun place to be with friendly grounds keepers to engaging cooks. The manager, Steve has an infectious energy and respectful management style that brings out everyone’s best. Highly recommend this experience but don’t go if you only want a beach holiday: this one keeps you busy!

I visited the island on a group trip and had an incredible experience. The island was beautiful. Everything was very well organized.l, from meals to activities. The guides with Island Expeditions were all amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly. I always felt completely safe doing the activities, from sea kayaking to snorkeling and sailing, and I learned a lot about local plants and wildlife from them. The meals were delicious and filling and I already miss them. I would highly recommend visiting this island with Island Expeditions and I am already trying to convince friends and family to return with me next year!

Came here with a grad school group. Our guides Budge, Louis, Wilson, and Steve were all incredible and went above and beyond! Everyday there was a variety of activities from kayak, star gazing, octopus night walk, etc. Steve went above and beyond to accommodate our group when it came to getting some SCUBA activities in the schedule. Don’t forget to ask Budge to show you how to push the bottle through the napkin. Friendships are the best ships!
