This place is not only a diver's dream but, a feast for the soul. Three, well organised, well guided, dives per day, expect to see everything below the surface that you have only dreamed of, I certainly did. The food is faultless, so much variety and of an impeccable standard. The staff can't do enough for you and the setting...

Birthday trip- BEST DIVING EVER! Great to see familiar faces among the staff. Hope to see Brandon and Bernie there as managers for a long time. Cabanas clean and steps from the ocean- falling asleep to the sound of the waves is magical. Food was great, and very well presented. Thank you for my beautiful Birthday cake! And thanks for...

My family and I have one amazing week at Blackbird. Two had two cabanas. One for me and my partner, and the other for my parents. We also had one year old daughter traveling with us. Brandon and the crew are more than amazing! Highlights include that certified as Padi diver at the resort, blue hold trip, elbow diving with...

We thank you for spending time with us at Blackbird Caye. Nature really is the star here, and we feel so fortunate to be able to share this magnificent natural playground with guests like yourselves. We take diving very seriously here, but afterwards we believe in a great meal and a peaceful night's sleep. We appreciate hearing from guests like...

A super place to visit. Was there for a week of diving with a friend and loved every trip out. Feels like a home away from home! Relaxing and restorative. Our cabin was simple, clean, comfortable. How marvelous to see both sunrises and sunsets from our private beach community.

My 4th trip to Blackbird occurred in July, 2016, and each time I go there I have an even better time than the previous trip. This time, I saw a manatee while snorkeling, and baby sea turtles hatched on the beach one evening. The island is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is professional but also kind and friendly....

Blackbird caye is a must stay for divers. The location is terrific: secluded and close to many excellent dive sites. The cabanas are amazing as everyone is on the beach and have a hammock for lounging in. The dive masters are fantastic. Fun, knowledgable, and caring. This is a great team for beginner and advanced divers. Beginners get lots of...

Exceeding expectations are words a resort operator lives to hear! We love what we do. We operate on a small island on the edge of some of nature’s most magical work, and we can’t wait to share it with the world…although not all at once. We are awe inspired every day, and we thank you for not only joining us,...

I was looking for a family friendly tropical vacation. I wanted all inclusive but felt turned off by the huge city-size resorts. When I found Blackbird Caye I couldn't believe my eyes! We were met in Belize City by their friendly driver, had a great boat ride to the Caye and were amazed when we saw the resort. It feels...

We were very impressed with the resort. Despite the distance from the mainland, the upkeep of the accommodations and resort was very good. Prior to our arrival, a burst pipe had wasted a considerable amount of fresh water from the desalination plant. The result was low water pressure but the issue was resolved after a few days. The food was...

We appreciate your understanding about our temporary water situation – sometimes things happen, but we believe it’s how we respond that makes a difference to guests. Blackbird Caye is a privately owned Island sitting on The Mesoamerican Reef System - often referred to as the "Jewel of the Caribbean" - it is the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere with a rich tapestry of vivid corals, mangrove forests, coastal wetlands, and diverse marine wildlife. Within the reef you will find Turneffe Atoll the Caye where the resort is located. There are over 70 dives sites all within 10-15 minutes from the resort and 45 minutes to Lighthouse Reef where The Great Blue Hole is located. The resort is made of 19 modern cabanas facing the Caribbean Sea and 1 beach house. The cabanas are all equipped with A/C, fans, private bathrooms, either King or Queen Beds with new comfortable bedding, private porches with chairs and swinging hammocks. Included in the price are your cabana, 3 daily meals, dive or snorkel package, complimentary transfers to the island on Wednesdays and Saturdays and use of the resort's kayaks. “Don't take too much. Screened porch is great for beach stuff. Room airconditioning worked great. They provide bottled water. No cash needed. They track all the expenses and you pay at the end with credit card. You can even add tips to the final bill”

“We stayed in cabana 9 both times and would request it again. ”
 of 5 bubbles RobinC750, 19 Jul 2016 | Read review
“There are a couple different types of cabanas. Each has a screened in porch to sit and watch the waves and the sunrise. Our cabana had an open thatched roof which made the air conditioning not as effective as in the more deluxe cabana which had an actual ceiling. It would be okay to stay in the open thatched roof setting if you were there in the winter months. The rooms were clean and maybe a little dated, but I wasn't there to stay in the room. When we return to the island, and we most definitely will return, we'll upgrade to the ceiling room to enjoy the benefits of the air conditioning. ”
