I dont know why this place has bad reviews, I have been traveling for 4 months and its one of the best places i stayed. From the moment we got there we were made to feel at home. We needed to get food to cook dinner on the first night so one of the staff walked us up to the...

While on my way through Belize to Caye Caulker and San Pedro, I came across the guesthouse while taking a bus from Chetumal in Mexico. There is a wonderfully eclectic mix of people in Belize City, as was especially the case in this hostel. The management was always there to make a home-cooked meal, take us out to the local...

I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. This place is a dump and I am pretty sure the staff who work there were into dealings of their own. I also felt uncomfortable from the minute I got there and couldn't wait to leave. The owner made me feel extremely uncomfortable and wouldn't let me leave to catch my flight...

When we got there, it was some time in the afternoon, and we were greeted by a drunk {owner?] named Mitch. He took us upstairs to our room. I'm pretty sure the bed was made from plywood, and the sheets were probably never washed. There were a variety of stains, but the paper-thin walls were a nice distraction. This way,...

Expensive, dirty, full of animals and strange people. We packed all our staff as soon as possible early in the morning (after spending the night wtching out for mouse and cucarachas) and run away from that horrible place. Just don't go there.

The worst place ever, dirty and with mice/rats and all kind of insects. The rooms are overpriced, with dirty sheet and not really clean bathroom. Dorms are so small you cannot even move. The only positive thing is the kindness of the lady who runs the place. Stay away from the seaside guesthouse!

Don't bother going there. 1) bedbugs. 2) weird drunk people coming in at any hour of the day/night, yelling weird things 3) the staff smokes (cigarettes) in the "main area" (ie: 1 meter from your room) 4) no hot water 5) pricey for what you get (which is basically, [--]) 6) really uncomfortable bed 7) smelly sheets, they smelled as...

Reached the place for a weekend off from my working routine. I was treated kindly and had a good time . I was travelling alone and I could share time with the people working there - this is something you don't usually get. the place is safe - if you're concerned about safety, ask them to hold your stuff in...

This summer, we did a round trip trough Central America, from Belize to Panama. We only booked our first night, in Belize City. The 'city' itself really isn't worth visiting, but we had to spend there our first night. Our three guides (Handbook Central America, Lonely Planet, Trotter) recommended Seaside Guest House. We paid the most of our trip, 42$,...

dear reviewer, I am very upset and aware of the current problems with staff and state of the guesthouse as it currently stands. I became the new owner in May with plans to fix problems that has kept the guesthouse down in the past. Unfortuately immigration issues have made it impossible at this time to make changes or for me...

We spent one night at the Seaside Guesthouse solely due to the fact that we arrived in town too late to travel on to our next destination and because it was the closest hostel in walking distance to the bus terminal. While the manager, who goes by the name “A”, is an accommodating, friendly and all-round lovely host I would...

Hello fellow reviewer's! As of May 2013 the Seaside Guesthouse has come under new ownership/management. This storybook 60+ year old colonial house has been restructured, balcony, veranda and stairs along with a fresh coat of paint inside and out. As the new owner I intend to make it my top priority for past problems to be rectified. We continue to...
