Not intending to stay overnight in Belmopan, we were pleasantly pleased to spend a night here. Reasonably priced, friendly, knowledgeable - if too many - staff. Beds were comfortable, fan was adequate to keep us cool, hot water shower, little café on the ground floor. There is a little complex closeby that has restaurants, ATM and grocery store. A great...

I stayed here for two weeks while on a work trip and it was brilliant! The room was lovely, very clean, everything working. The staff are really lovely and the breakfast is great. The website is a little out of date - they don't do food in the evening - but there are plenty of nice places nearby and I...

You don't assume much, but boy oh boy what a great place. My brother and I split a room and it was plenty spacious for both of us; comfy beds, solid internet, tv. Absolutely nothing else we could ask for. We were able to easily get to the US Embassy, and some other spots in "main town" to do some...

This place was excellent. Excellent price, wonderful staff. Nice breakfast (extra for our rate). Very clean. Upgraded us for free. Only thing to note is that the shower is cold water only. But hey you are in the tropics. Actually we had a room with no air conditioning though it can be turned on for a fee. It was cool...

Dear Peter, Thanks for staying with us and thank you for your very kind review. I am very sorry that you had a cold shower as all our rooms have hot water and on checking... it is a confusing three knob plumbing that took me a while to figure out. We will definitely have to make clear instructions on how...

My mom and I enjoyed our stay at El Rey. The place has a warm welcoming staff who waited until late for our late arrival. We were on a decent sized room with well functioning Ait Conditioning system which definitely cooled us on hot Belmopan. Hot water also worked perfectly. Couple things weren't working well but as Nick, (the owner)...

Me and my boyfriend Elliot stayed here for a couple nights and had a great time. We met the owner Nick who was extremely helpful, showed us around the town and gave us loads of information about the countries we are visiting next on our travels. The hotel itself was as described so was perfect for us, comfy beds, clean...

Belmopan is not a destination for a holiday but rather a messy town you need to go through to get to most places. We found El Rey after much searching whilst on our touring bicycles. We have stayed at hundreds of Hotels and Hostels so we are familiar with the mainly budget end of travelling. It was $40 for the...

I stayed here for three nights. The air conditioning wasn't working in the room I'd booked, so Nick the owner gave me a free upgrade to a bigger room. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was good with hot and cold water, and in general the whole hotel was very bright and clean. The staff are excellent, and Nick...

On our inland journey, we took a recommendation of another hotel we stayed at who said they owner a location in Belmopan, the El Rey. At first site it wasn't much, but the rooms are brightly decorated, clean and the staff was some of the friendliest we met on our entire stay, and that's saying something considering how nice everyone...
