My first impression was it looked better on Trip Advisor pictures. The rooms are rustic and small and dark. Our AC wasn’t working very well but it didn’t hinder our stay. Rooms have flat screen TVs (though very small). They have a purified water bottle dispenser outside near

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a room off to the side of the resort secluded from the rest, which was very nice. You are greeted with friendly faces and a welcome cocktail. Throughout our time there the staff was nothing short of kind and helpful. We spent our afternoons by

Thank you for your candid review Casey, it was such a pleasure hosting you during your visit. We are happy to know that we've contributed positively to your Belizean Vacation. Guests can certainly enjoy some delicious food and drinks at our pool bar at great prices. Our sister company Go-Maya Belize Adventures is ready to take you on any Belizean Adventure of your choice. We're the only company in town that offers Special Kids' Rates as well as group discounts. We also offer affordable airport transfers or transfers to anywhere within Belize with our comfortable vehicles which include Wi-Fi and beverages in van. We hope that you'll visit again sometime!

We passed through San Ignacio the day before New Year’s with our dog. The hotel offers parking behind the building that fees quite secure. Even better, our well-behaved dog was welcome without extra fees or hassle. Food was good but seemed pricey for Belize. Pool looked nice,

Hello! We live in Guatemala and drove to Belize so we booked everything directly with the hotels I researched... There should not be any problems for you to book a rental car at the airport and then contact the hotels directly. Nothing is more than a couple of hours away. That way you can leave the car before you head to San Pedro or to Caye Caulker (San Pedro is more resort/adult and Caulker more chill/young crowd, I'd say...). We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in Hopkins and the excursions in San Ignacio a lot but the snorkeling from San Pedro was also great.

Hi Jody, We rented a car, Took us about 3 hours to get up to Banque area. so you might want to arrive in Belize early enough so you will still have daylight to drive up. Its along drive and the roads are not the best. you do not want to drive at night since there really not too many road signs. If you are renting a car watch out for speed bumps. They are unlike what you have in the US. We actually had more fun on the beach than the rain forest actually.Good luck and have fun.
